Help! I have had a BlueJay in my garage since approximately 5 pm yesterday (~15 hrs). How do I help the poor thing get out? I tried leaving all the garage doors open, but he is still confused. He keeps trying to fly up, which I guess is only natural. My husband tried swinging the broom at him to "direct" him out, but that didn't work either. We do not want to hurt it but I am also afraid that I am going to come home with the kids and it will be dead on the floor. Any suggestions? |

i would continue to leave the doors open and maybe throw some seeds or bread down on the ground near the open door so it can see it and hopefully it will fly down to eat and then will be out of the garage |

Great idea MG...and I would also not hang around the garage as he is sensing your presence thus, scaring him more. |

A bird got in the gym at the school I worked at and we turned all the lights off and left a door open. Of course it got really dark in the gym so the bird "went to the light". |

It was kinda cute in that he was sitting up on a rafter sleeping when my husband came home ~10 last night. Must have been past his bedtime!!! |

Great idea about leaving him treats. I will try that tonite when I get home. Hopefully, he doesn't eat the stuff and then decide he likes it there. There is already enough bird poop on my garage floor...... |

My friend is gone. He flew away out the back door while I was at work. Thank God! |
