I am getting married on 8-26-06 and I thought it would be nice to give away potted plant as favors. I bought about 80 potted white mums and planted them in ceramic pots. They currently reside in our sun room which has three big windows that I keep the blinds open to. There are some that are suriving and are white but others that are whitering and turning light brown petals. I live in St. Louis, MO and right now it is very HOT here. Can anyone help me save my plants? I water them every other day but from what I am reading maybe I am giving them too much water. Should I put them outside or would it be too hot from them. Any advice is appreciated. thanks!

I am not really sure. I closed all the vents thought so there should not be any cold air getting in there. I do not have a thermostat in that room but with all the windows they should be getting pleanty of sun

I was just searching the web and found that potted mums are prone aphid infestation. I am not sure if that is what is wrong with them but on some of them teh leaves almost look dusty and the soil looks like it might have clumps of dust as well.

white dust? if so, it could be powdery mildew.
