This is the first toad I've seen in my gardens! I'm sure they've been around before, and it must be that I was out when the sun was almost down. I moved the little toad house I had from the back to the front where I saw him. Maybe he'll hide there during the day. Pic isn't good as it was too dark already, but you can see its shape. Cool Blue! Went out to deadhead this AM and saw some ladybugs, grasshoppers and bees. All good little bugs for the flowers. |

I thought grasshoppers were the bad bugs. Don't they munch on the leaves? |

yes! grasshoppers are awful! they descimated my shade garden one year and there was nothing i could do to stop them. ![]() BTW, congrats on your toad, Blue.

I didn't know grasshoppers were bad. I'll have to get rid of him...lol. But where do I put him? My flower bed is the only green around here. I'll have to walk him up to the park. |

We have them too .This guy keeps coming back each year,and I talk to him and pat him on the head, so now he is really tame.These guys live in my container garden that is around the deck.They sit on the deck in the evenings with us.

Same here, Foz. They tend to hoard together. You may have more, Mare. They camouflage really well. |
