Aww Herby, thanks for starting this thread up again. I love to tell stories about my furry kiddos. Marley (kitty) is getting bigger and cheekier by the day, LOL, and the old dog Hendrix had me in stitches last night. He was in the backyard while I had the sprinkler on the lawn and well...he decided to attack it. Because he loves drinking water out of the hose, and I wasn't playing our usual game, (I hold the hose, with the nozzle set on 'jet' for him to leap up and "bite" the stream of water) he thought he'd just go for it himself. SO he runs up to the sprinkler and grabs it, and the force of the water is blowing his lips wayyy out of shape, and he's practically choking on the water, but still he hangs on, running around the yard doing his 'victory lap', until he got to the end of the length of hose and could go no further. It was too funny! Even the neighbors across the street were killing themselves laughing. (I hope this is not going to become a habit though!)

Frosty - grey ..... and Mischief - black They are now almost 16 months old. Adopted from the Humane Society at 7 weeks old on April 26'05. These two are sisters but you'd never know it... they are direct opposites of each other in every way! Out of 5 kittens in the litter when they were born in March '05, Frosty is the only one that isn't a black long hair. She's also the tiniest. And she is the most photogenic cat I've ever seen! You can't lose when you aim the camera at her. She's apparently what's called a 'diluted calico', meaning she has the calico colors in diluted form and they are streaked instead of spotted. Mischief on the other hand, is very difficult to photograph because being a black long hair, all her details disappear except her eyes. Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Here is the first of my two fur babies. Penny has her own pillow, so to speak. Every so often, she rests her head on her round ball. It's taken me forever to try and catch her doing it as she lifts her head whenever I get up to get the camera.

I have crazy animals. This cat was abandon by his mother along with the rest of the litter right after birth. Funny thing is she was a house cat and was in the house. She just decided she didn't want to be mom. I bottle fed them for several weeks. I had 2 Mom dogs that had litters at the same time. Once the kitties were up and around they found the Mom dogs. The kittens nursed on the dogs untill I found them homes. I kept this one and he thinks he is a dog. I will have to dig up the pic from when they were nursing. It was kitten, pup, kitten, pup and so on. Too cute! Attachments: ![]() |
