I read that this climber is supposed to have a strong fragrance, hence my interest in it. However, on a recent trip to the garden centre I found one in bloom and it had no fragrance whatsoever!

Does anybody have this particular rose? I really wanted a fragrant, white climber and now that I have finally found "Iceberg" I am very disappointed.

Any other fragrant white options???? Help!!!

I've always read that Iceberg has no fragrance whatsoever. One of the nicest in white roses, but no fragrance.

Well! I think I need to have a word or two with Vesey's...in their catalogue they say it IS fragrant.

I just looked it up. Seems the regular floribunda Iceberg isn't fragrant (which is the one I was after) but the climber is. Was the rose at the garden centre a climber?

It was in the "climber" section....but the label did not indicate anything other than the name "Iceberg."

Maybe I will have to check out the other, more reputable garden centre to see if they have any left. It is just further from home is all.

Darlow's Enigma, which I bought in April, is supposed to be outstanding. Not sure of its availability out there in the boonies though.

It could have been the regular rose and someone stuck it in the wrong section. Customers dump things all over the place too, so it could have even been that. Guess that's the best way to differentiate them when they're small. Smell them!

Sweetle, can you sneak one in the mail to me? LOL! I am going to look up Canadian sources, that sounds really nice.

Blue, it could totally have been in the wrong place...there were 2 of them there and neither had any scent. So I will have to smell the next specimen to be sure.
