Hi. I see these flowers everywhere on the side of the road and near the woods. I think they are very pretty for weeds. If Anyone knows what they are called or anything about them (transplanting, there seeds, etc..) PLEASE let me know. Thank you!!!! Ome vote for Dame's Rocket. Phlox blooms later in the season and has 5 petals not 4. Here is a good site with pics http://www .hort.wisc.edu/mastergardener/Features/weeds/dames rocket/damesrocket.htm |

Kissy what zone are you in? My dames rocket blooms in April and the blooms are in a long cone shape at the top of the stalk. My phlox started blooming in May and is still blooming. |

I was planning on going to the nursery to try and get both phlox and Dames Rocket. Can u give me any help on the best way to plant them? Or should I just pull some from the roadside? Thanks for your help |

Kissy, those are Dame's Rockets, not Phlox. Flowerpower is right in that phlox has 5 petals. I know because we had a thread on this last year and we all thought we had phlox when we didn't. I did not buy mine, just showed up one day and they really do spread quite a bit. I pull up the ones where I don't want them growing in my garden. I have a spot for them and they really do spread. If you live close to the woods, I am sure they will eventually show up in your yard on it's own.
