What would make you think that we think you are fussy.

I'm not sure where that rumor got started, Sash. I think it had something to do with giants, snakes, and spelling.

A burgundy or chocolate spiky grass would look great! It would pick up the burgundy from the petunias in the cedar planter. What are some good complimentary colors besides lime? Isn't dark blue and burgundy a classic combination? Maybe silver foliage would look nice......maybe not with the terra cotta planter.....

I know you don't care for orange all that much but it would look great with chocolate spikes in a terra cotta planter. Check out Nemesia, It comes in all the warm 'Mexican' colours.

I was just thinking of what would compliment your terracotta pot...... but I can just see you in your Mexican sombrero, drinking a margarita, clicking your castanets, eating tacos and shouting, "Arrreeba!"

I've only grown the purple 'Rubrum' (Pennisetum setaceum), but there are different fountain grasses in greens and yellow tones. The purple fountain grass gets to about 3 feet high and 4 feet wide.

I went and looked at some grasses today. Nothing stood out and shouted, "Take me home!" I saw a grey-blue wheat grass that I liked, but I'm not sure how to work with something like that.

How would a yellow and blue combination look in the terracotta? I think pretty good! What can you suggest for plants? I hate marigolds!
