Here are some pics from this year's Philadelphia Flower Show-the theme this year was Ireland and there was a lot of whimsical presentations. Most of these are from the Camden Children's Garden display. Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My 5 year old daughter got a "fairy garden" for Xmas. We colored it, set it up, and planted the seeds on Monday. It is very cute. We planted the seeds that came with it and some old flower seeds that I had. It looks like there are already some seeds sprouting. I will take a picture of it this weekend with my new camera!! |

What type of flower seeds did you plant, Mo? I bet your daughter would have fun building fairy furniture from sticks, bark, and moss, or from Sculpey clay. I've made toadstools from Sculpey. |

I don't know what the seeds were - they were all mixed together. I am not sure if she would like building that stuff. Right now she is huge into coloring and drawing. |

I am not sure what kind of grass it is as the seeds were much bigger than the grass seeds I have seen. |

We had a fairy garden incident (actually a fiasco). My son was allegedly (I was at work when this happened) trying to get a paper airplane off of the entertainment center with a broom and knocked over a lamp and the fairy garden. Frosty scooped it up and put it all back, but I think we need to start over. |

I know that Aerie Mountain in Barkhamsted has lots of fairy garden stuff. They even have a little garden set up in the shop. Last time I was there they has fairy sized Adirondack chairs and benches, gardening tools, garden archways and all other kinds of fairy stuff. Might be worth checking out. |
