Ok, I had to share these peppers with everyone. This is the first year I've had such a wonderful crop that I started from seed. I planted a variety of peppers, such as valencia, gypsy, early sunsation, rainbow mix, golden wonder, and cal wonder. I ended up putting out 35 plants and a few in a pot. I lost only two, but had extra to replace them and still have two left to plant. Most of them I had planted two seeds in each pot and had to thin most of those, so I actually got almost double that amount! This pics are the plants, then some gypsy peppers, then some valencia peppers. Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Wow, they look great! We're only now having the kind of weather to put our peppers outside. When did you plant yours? |

OH MY you have a long Gardening season there huh!!!?? My peppers are still wee little 4-8 leaves small enough to get pulled by birds, meanwhile you already have Peppers growing! GREAT JOB!! Looking GREAT!! If you dont like cutting one little fella you can start with vermiculite and avoid the heartache They greminate faster and you dont have to worry about thier root systems when seperating them, just you need to be certain to keep vermiculite moist to wet but not soaked. Im trying vermiculite outdoors with several veggies and herbs.I just put wet V down before I place seeds.Im thinking I will have to watch that the roots dont grow too fast and get into the soil*LOLThanks for sharing ![]() Kale

Piglet6721, Wow! Pepper fruit already. My Aunt lives down on Ono Island and her garden is about one month ahead of mine. She says she pays for it during the hot humid summer though. Dora/Garden Goddess |

Thanks guys! I usually start my seeds around Dec. or Jan inside so they're ready to go out in March, which is the time for planting most veg. around here. This winter was really mild, so I was able to move them outside for a few weeks before planting. Just waiting now for them to change color! Hopefully soon, b/c the humidity and heat of summer can mess them up for us though.

Thanks Derrick&BooBoo! Unfortunately, due to the heat upon us right now, some of my peppers have sunscald on them. Ugh! So, not as pretty now as in those pictures. But at lot of them are turning color finally, yellow and orange and purple and red. I'm making so many that I am getting some pretty ones out of all this. I'd better for 35 plants out there!
