Can anyone recommend a large leaf, mostly white hosta? I have been on several sited already but can not seem to find the large leaf variety. I want to plant it in an extra large pot in my shade garden. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And oh, by the way, all of you mothers: HAVE A WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!

i have seen a white hosta. it's a new cultivar that is almost completely white but i don't know the name or if it's available yet to growers. also i don't remember how big it gets. think it had 'ghost' in the name. not much help, am i? check this hosta out. it's called Dancing in the Rain. it says it's a large leaved hosta that's slug resistant. i'll leave the link to the nursery for you. http://www.directsourcehostas.com/index.php Attachments: ![]() |

From the site that Fozbot posted, White Christmas might be what you're looking for. And thanks for the great link, Fozbot! |

Check out Dancing in the Rain too, we had a customer at the nursery where I work in looking for it today, she says that it is a beauty. I just did a web search on it and it is definitely white. |

Oh well, lost that thought, but my boss wrote it down, so I will reply sometime. Personally I love all of the "American History" hostas because of their sharp contrast in greens and whites. Revolution is great, so is Independence Day, Minuteman, and Patriot. I love Fire and Ice as the boldest contrast. But if you are looking for a lovely yellow Hosta, June and Remember Me are my favorites. It is really tough working at a garden center and helping to order everything from year to year...the boss and I are perennial nuts, that shows by our lack of space for our out-of-controlledness last summer when we were doing this years ordering. So fun though, ha. |
