I was just reading that although most people throw out pepper plants after the growing season, they can be taken inside and replanted the following year because they will reproduce again. Has anyone heard this?

I have a friend at OSU, that kept a Rocoto pepper in a 10 gal garbage can
The plant lasted 10 years with rolling it out in the spring and back inside in the fall.

With bell peppers, do they still reproduce fruit in the winter while indoors or do they "rest"?

When I grow peppers for my Salsa garden they look pretty used up by the end of the season. That would be the red yellow and green bell's, anaheim, serrano, Jalapino and Habanero. I jus compost them and start fresh in the spring. That gives you time to amend the soil for a new year.
