Prayers for your niece and family Marie. Prayers for everyone else too

The funeral was rough, such a shame as she was only 53 and was a sweetheart. I lost it when I went up to say goodbye after the service was over, her brother was standing there and I've known him for 20+ yrs. I still hear her voice the morning of the surgery when I called her. I'll always regret not getting in to see her, was going to go in after the bypass surgery as there was so much family in there with her before the surgery.

Laurie, I could have sworn I responded to your latest post but may have forgotten to hit post. Prayers are being said for you and your friends family. I was quite emotional at my friends funeral a couple of years ago too, when she passed away from spinal cancer. She was only 49 and was such a ball of fire. So sad when they seem to have so much life to live yet and they go so early. Huggg

This is a letter FWD from one of my friends.
Needed Urgent Prayer:
Believers stoned. Ordered to be beaten up.
In 1997, Brother Chauhan, an IET church planter, began his work in Chopada, Maharashtra India. The work is spreading fast and the first time believers are getting rooted in the Word very well by the leader Chauhan. This pioneer church has stood strong against all threats, harassment, and persecution.

On 22nd May 2006, few anti-Christians warned a believer, "The Christian prayers had to stop." When that did not happen, a believer was cornered and then stoned. It was meant to be an example to those who had become Jesus followers or were contemplating to. Fear set in. The situation grew so difficult that some of the believers ran away, fearing for their life.

Meanwhile, our efforts led to the Panchayat (local governing council) being summoned. The Patel, the chairman of the Panchayat, and the other members hate Christians. Instead of hearing the case, the villagers were ordered, "Beat up any Christians that you will find in these villages."

The believers are scared for the life of their family, including children. They know that this public announcement has provoked the villagers to attack to kill. Meanwhile, a false criminal case, of desecrating the Hindu
goddess, has been also been filed against the Christian believers.

Brother Chuahan, the IET leader says, "Please pray for the protection of the IET believers, for me to lead the people during this difficult times, and for the grace of God to transform the anti-Christians, including the
panchayat members." Please stand with us!
For the cause,

In 1987 we had bad snow here and as a result befriended an old couple across the road who we probably never would have spoke to before, but we did their shopping and helped them in any way that we could.
Having lost all my grandparents at that time and being only 16 i kind of adopted them as surrogate grandparents.
Ted died a few years later which only served to make a stronger bond between us with Joan.
We took her to our hearts and she was "family".
Sadly she passed away on sunday and i would like to ask for prayers and good thoughts for her for a safe journey to heaven to be with her beloved Ted again.

I have another prayer request please.

I found out today that the young boy i work with has been put on the heart transplant donor list. Apparently this is the last thing they can do for him.
He is only 22. I would like prayers that he can survive long enough to find a suitable donor and pull through the other side.
He is such a nice kid.

Thank you

Also, my dad is still fighting cancer, so any prayers offered there would be appreciated too.

Suzanne, my prayers go with these good Christians, that they should have the hand of the Lord on their shoulders to protect them as they go out to spread His message.

Tracy,Prayers are being said for comfort for you at the loss of your good friend Joan. Find comfort in the truth that she is with her Ted now, singing in that great choir where we will all sing praises someday.
Prayers also for your young friend needing a transplant, that the Lord guide the good Dr's as they strive to make him whole again.

Praying for all my GG friend, that they are in good health and strong in their faith that God walks with them every step they take. Marie K

I should have come with this earlier.... Last Monday one of my employer's planes went down in Florida while on a sterile med-fly release mission. It crashed making an emergency landing. The pilot was killed and the first officer was badly burned. We are yet unsure as to the entire event but the plane hit a mini-van and a house, both of which went up in flames. Thank God no one else was injured though.

The pilot was a very strong Christian young ma.... having graduated from Moody and spending several years flying for a Christian mission organization before coming with us. He leaves behind 4 children ranging in age from 1 1/2 to 9 years.

The copilot has received 3rd degree burns on a significant portion of his body and only had been flying for us as a part time first officer for about three weeks. He reportedly came to know Jesus about 5 months ago. He has been into two surgeries already and is facing a long recovery. He is 25 and unmarried.

Please join me and everyone I can think of in offering prayers for Steve's family as they struggle to make sense of this and for Sean as he battles for his life.
