My climbers grow quickly, and extend another 2-3 feet per season. I prune them back in the fall, though. Don't know about container roses. Don't forget the epson salts, and fertilizer. The spot where I'd put it gets full afternoon sun, so would Rosa Juan tolerate that? By container rose, I mean one grown in a container vs. a bare-root rose. I plan on planting it in the ground.
