There are 20-30 pigeons that pick at my yard every single day! Right now it's just a bare lot but I am going to topsoil and seed it and I am afraid the pigeons are just going to eat all the grass seed before it has a chance! Is there anything I can do to keep them away? |

I know it looks funny but the best luck I have had with getting grass started and keeping the birds away from the seed is to cover the seeded area with a white cotton sheet. Hold the corners down with nails. Keep it wet, it will keep the seed wet and it actually acts like a green house. Germination takes place quickly and you can tell when it is time to remove the sheet as it gets pushed up by the new grass. Best of luck. |

Actually, pigeons are pretty bright and very trainable. They are also very social and loyal. |

Thanks, I think I might do that. The fishing lines a good idea too so I may try a bit of both.Thanks. |

Not a tarp but a white sheet. I am afraid the tarp will not work. |
