snapdragons

bought some snapdragons on clearance[25 cents] a six pack. can u deadhead these to get them to rebloom? how far back/

Hello,

Yes you can deadhead them... I just cut off the tops or when you see that they are seeding themselves. They will rebloom for a couple of years!

I liked mine last year. Dead heading does help. Are they perennials, Flowers? I can't remember. I don't think they'll come back... will they??

They won't come back here Sp. They are annuals for us.

SP, if you let them go to seed, they may reseed themselves. That happened to mine. I had snapdragons last year and I never planted any, but had them the year before.

My grandmother used to let most of hers go to seed in the fall, and they came up year after year for her. That was her home in Hamilton, Ontario...just off the Bay.

They really like cool weather.... spring and fall. Go ahead and cut them back and let them resprout. Don't get discouraged whren they melt a bit in the heat. They'll be back with a great show when the weather cools in autumn.

They don't mind a bit of water, either, so you don't need to be shy...

thanks for the tips. 4 six packs for a dollar is too good to pass up. i like to see if i can revive stressed plants
