this past fall while collecting cutting from my roses i decided to try to root cuttings from my peaches apples and plums...out of about 25-30 cutting i have 2 that survived...they have rooted very well (2 peaches) they have lots of leafs and new shots coming up...since these are clones do u guys think they will develop in to fruit producing trees? |

As long as the cuttings weren't just suckers from the trees I don't see why they wouldn't. It might take a few years for them to produce some fruit, but it would be fun to raise them from the cuttings. |

It will depend, Zergas, on whether the rootstocks are of the Malling or some other dwarfing variety used to dwarf the fruit tree. In a standard sized tree, I'd suppose the rootstalk and the upper would be one and the same and thus, would provide fruit like the parent. Any of the dwarfing rootstalks, however, will probably disappoint. Fritz |

well the cuttings are from a dwarf peach...so what ur saying is the rootstock is what keeps the tree dwarf and since i took cuttings from the top (above the grapht) my cuttings will not produce a dwarf tree? |
