After I relocate a lavender, I have room for one more perennial in my garden that gets full sun. What would you choose? It's at the corner of a deck, middle of the garden bed. Orange crocosmia is behind it, daylilies, lavender, and sedum "Autumn Joy' surround it. My thoughts so far are one of the new white coneflowers with an orangey brown cone or a deep blue salvia. It needs to be about 3 feet tall. Here's a pic from last July. The white daisy-like plant (feverfew?) has been moved. The plant would go right between where the little clay pots are. If you look closely, you can see some lavender in there now. |

Good question, Foz! Mid-summer to fall would be my preference. That's when we use the deck the most. |

I'm still thinking. The white coneflowers would be a nice choice as they'll glow in the twilight. |

Blazing stars - comes in white or pinkish purple White bee balm - or any other color, gets tall in the sun black eyed susans - too much yellow? Cherry bells - dark redish purple Gaura - whirling buterflys very open habitat comes in pinkish or white. holly hocks - the new minis are about 30 to 36" tall matrona seedum - dark purple flesh with purpleish flowers speedwell - red fox |

What about perennial phlox? It gets about 4 ft, late summer bloom,nice scent, all sorts of colors. |
