Stereoman, I feel that we are paying tribute to His wonder and trying to show how much we appreciate His beauty. I'm not the one who called them "conceits." That's an old English term.

I took a photo of the Chicken in the Bed. I hadn't realized how much she has faded.

Also, I took a picture of my "Chicken in Every Pot." This is just one of them. She's a brassy old hen!

Indeed, a great deal of the world's most splendid examples of art and architecture were created in homage to the Divine. Though not everyone identifies their motivations in that way, I nevertheless believe that each creation contains a spark of Divine energy. I see G*D everywhere I look!

My neighbor has a chicken themed kitchen and is co-owner of some real ones down the street from us. She's going on vacation soon and her son will be watching her house. That chicken in the garden thing gives me a great idea for when she comes back. She might have one in her raised garden bed! heehee She'll love it!
