Just cut away the brown spots. Should be OK. My mom did an experiment last month. She found a dropped AV leaf on the floor and then she stuck it in a small pot. She didn't cover it. The other day I saw four baby leaves sprouting. For all those years, that I covered each potted leaf was a waste of time, come to think it. LOL...

I have a brown spot along the margin of my AV leaf that I'm trying to propagate. It probably got some water on it and I was wondering if I can cut out that portion of the leaf without killing the leaf itself? The spot is about an 1'' long and 1/4'' wide. I've got it in my 80gallon terrarium under120 watts of light. The medium is evenly moist, (soiless mix) and the humidity isn't that high... I'm actually doing this for a class, so it would be a tad embarrassing if I couldn't get it to grow. :o Thanks!
