The myrtles haunted house

My best friend and I made a trip to the most haunted house in Louisiana this weekend, The Myrtles is a plantation home with beauty, and a few ghosties to boot. The history here is amazing and the property is full of surprise. the first pic is of the back of the house and the court yard, then from there on you will see what my pics picked up. I seem to remember that story.........Wasn't Chloe afraid of being sold, or put in the fields, her objective was to use white oleander (sp?) in a cake, just enough to make the family sick, so she could make the antidote and "save them", thus save herself, reasoning the master and lady would be too grateful to think of getting rid of her. Unfortunately, she misjudged the amount that was "safe", and the lady and children died. Master of course was furious and had her hanged immediately in front of the home. It is said that she was deeply devoted to the children, and her guilt is what is keeping her tied to the plantation, the girls are said to also haunt the home, in a very playful manner. I think there is another death tied to the home, some sort of an accident........... Lilly? |

Sassmuffin, you are right , she was the house maid, but she had a bad habbit of listening in on the conversations behind doors, The Lord of the house caught her and they cut her left ear off and banished her from the house, He wasn't going to get rid of , because she was his mistress, the slaves on the plantation are responsible for her hanging when she baked the birthday cake , she was in charge of the kitchen . |

The hounted mirror has the soul of the wife and children , but apparently they don't want to be seen, the pic with the squirll, the window behind him, on mine you can plainly see a little girl in that window, the court yard look an the bottom of the chair there are two streaks of light. The lady is my best friend Becky, behind her on the porch in the rocker was a globe of light. |
