Thanks again Ron. Sorry to make work for you when i know you'd rather be in the closet. I'll redo the pics tomorrow.

Thanx Ron, you are the best! Glad we could provide an excuse to get out of the closet even if only for a bit till you lock yourself back in!!!
I'm going to start a pkg of cacti seeds in the coming days... So I'll look in here to see what's the best method!

I'm experimenting with some new seeds this year. I started burgundy hibiscus, white cone flower, pansies, begonias, purple bell vine and hollyhock.
I started some in 2 inch containers with seed starting mix, some in jiffy peat pellets and some in an APS seed starting tray. I also use a heat mat.

love the impatiens and the hibiscus, Ron. Now if I could just get my head into seed sowing. Still not there yet. Too much else to deal with here.

Gee, wonder if I could grow hibiscus flowers in the greenhouse. I am guessing not but it could be cool to try. Ron, do they only survive one season? And can I grow one plant or do I need two for pollination? I used to grow them in Arkansas but have not seen a sign of one since we moved to Alaska. It would mean surrendering my pepper plants for the year.

I'm soaking seeds right now to start a Banana Plant. It's a house plant. The seeds are huge and can take from 1 - 6 months to germinate. Wish me luck.

Good luck sashweezy! Let us know when they germinate.
The yellow hibiscus is an annual. I save seeds and plant them every year. They are one of my favorites. The burgundy hibiscus is a perennial. I'm trying it for the first time. I got the seeds in a trade from a gardening buddy.

Sash, I bought seeds too for a banana plant! I will be planting all my seeds sometime next week.
