Coffee grounds Geeze some folks fight over them at Starbucks.. Coffee grounds are a good free source of nitrogen, Enough grounds will make your soil acidic, which azealeas(sp) and Rhodies like , A little less and you tomatoes and peppers will love it, About the same for grass and other veggies Also a good amendmendent for clay soil Byron 4 cups of Columbian a day |

Hey! Tomorrow is the day I get to have my fancy coffee drink. They have gone up to $3.95 so once a week is enough. I like to drive my son-in-law crazy anyway. He and Fiona are off until tomorrow evening celebrating their 20th anniversary. |

hehe, Randy are you saying you get jazzed up on that coffee and get rowdy enough to drive your son in law nutso? I cut back on coffee about 10 years ago, and rarely have more than 2 cups in the morning. I drink a coke or two a day, watered down with melted ice in my big jug cup, and the rest of the day I drink water. Coffe really makes me jittery now. When I worked nights, I know I drank at least 2 pots a day and it really started bothering me, so I weaned myself of by mixing half sanka and half coffee and then went straight sanka (decaf). After a few years, I started drinking regular again, but moderately. Just don't need to be hyped up all the time anymore:o) |

I just have one cup in the morning, Marie. But it is pretty strong. When I take the war department out to breakfast on Saturdays, I will have three cups at the restaurant. I won't have a cup at home tomorrow since I will have the one at the coffee shop. When I was still working I had two cups in the morning, but that was it for the day. |

Okay Randy you are off the hook (barely). We do 2-3 pots in the morning and 1 at night so DH can stay awake to catch bad guys (he also stops for those fancy ones at night on duty). Don, 40 lbs or coffee grounds? Holy cats! Sounds like you are off the a running start! Sass |

Our soil is on the acid side already due to the amount of rainfall we get. I do check the soil, but I usually add some lime in the spring to bring it in more to the neutral side. Sass, my brother-in-law is a retired cop. He put in 30 years with Sacramento County. I'm glad he is done with it. He will turn 60 in a few days. I think he was 8 or 9 years old when I was courting his sister. |

Randy, Dh just had his 15 year anniversary, so 10 more to go. I usually don't worry too much, until the nice weather hits and then all the maniacs come out of the woodwork. |

Well, there are plenty of them out there. I don't even like to watch the local news anymore. It's always the same thing anyway. Only the names of the players are different. |
