What's the saying....better late than never. Sorry I haven't got to be on here much lately. Just been so busy. And this week is the week to go to my aunts to set out the plants for the Spring sales. They should be in tomorrow or Wed. 3,000 little plants. Will share pic. later with you all. Gosh it is cold here today....not sure what the temp is but around 40-42 I think. Feels like 29 out...lol. About a week ago, I was going to my aunts and while loading my car I looked up in the sky....Lord Lord I said, how beautiful!! I keep thinking I am going to get back on the blog, but lately everytime something comes up. I guess it just that time of the year. Busy busy. Last week I spent most of the week helping my cousins put up ceilling tile at my aunts. Now this week I had to take my sister back to the Dr. to check her eyes(cataracts). She got a good report, but we were running late and I was speeding....and got another ticket....yep I did.  Today I have been cleaning house and cooking some.  I cooked 3 pecan and 2 sweet potato pies. Got my onions and bacon cut-up...its a lot that goes into cooking thanksgiving meals. This year everyone is coming here. My sister and her husband, brother and his family, my two daughters and their families and my son will be coming home from Texas(working), he has a 9 hr. drive...praying for a safe trip home and his family will be here. I think in all 23. My little house will be very much swelleddddddddddd....lol. I'm praying the weather will be nice enough for some to go on the porch. We have a very small house. We might have to hang some on nails...but it will be so nice to have all here.

Next here is my daughters "The Pet Parlor", she already has it decorated for Christmas. She and her husband did a great job....

In the left window she has- pink angel, 2dogs, wrapped boxes, tree. On right window- tree,wrapped boes, one large dog and door with wreath.

IF this is the last time I'm on before Thanksgiving...I wish everyone a wonderful warm family Thanksgiving....we all have so much to be thankful for. Blessings to all...reba

THE DAWN OF AUTUMN

As I stroll down the path,
I revel in the beauty of the trees,
All the golds and reds and browns.
Make Autumn so beautiful to me.

As I walk along I see the squirrels-
scampering to and fro.
They're wondering where to bury their nuts,
so they can find them in the snow.

The ground is becoming golden,
As the sun shines through the trees.
It brightens up the woods,
Beckoning to you and me.

The trees are becoming bare,
yet when I look around,
Everything is so still,
so many leaves are upon the ground.

The ground still warm from the summer sun,
The wood chucks running to their nests,
Squirrels sitting on branches,
taking their much needed rest.

This is the dawn of Autumn.
A time to give thanks.
For all our seasons
For all we have -
For all our blessings.

Last night the kids were so much fun... they were all very polite. I had one group of 4 that the picture did not take. There was this one little boy who would not be still....so no picture of them.  I had 34 but only 30 in picture.

All in all....we had a good turn out and we are still alive...lol. It was a good night!!

I thought she did a good job on it....so cute. And I made these cupcakes and peanut butter fudge.... for his carnival..

The kids had so much fun at the carnival...thats what it is all about....but mamaw is let it's about over...well after tonite...lol.

This weekend was School Homecoming , Festival, and Fair. My daughter(20yrs.) and son's (10yrs.)school class reunion, had a parade afterwards, then a festival down town in the street and live band. And I might add their were great. Then I went with the little gr.kids to watch their eyes light up at the fair. Hope you had a great weekend also.

Can someone tell me if my ice plant will come back next year? If I put it under the carport for the winter? THis was my first year to grow it and I loved it. But then what flower don't I love...lol.

Here is a new Sunflower that just came up from the bird feeder seeds. Looks so pretty and bright.

My collage of Halloween....and my little birds enjoying the bird bath. Last night our yearly Fair came to town. I will try and get up that way this evening and take a few pictures from a distance. I passed this morning going to my daughters and I said then to myself....I think it is getting smaller very year. But the little children enjoy it so much. It is a BIG FAIR to them. Hope ya'll have a nice evening....

I had "Happy Halloween " down under the top center pic. but it didn't show up...darn, it made it look much prettier. Now  here is the birds bathing.

Good Morning Folks.... this morning I walked outside and it feels like fall today. We have gotten a couple small showers this morning already. The temp has cooled off.  I wanted to share a recipe for some little crackers. Here is the link to them:

Folks did ya'll know it is almost halloween and I haven't gotten my candy yet...oh and my son craved out these jack o'lanterns. I think he did a good job....even if I say so....lol. He is a wonderful son, husband and father to two precious little boys. This is one of my favorite pic. of the boys....I can't look at it without smiling .... yes that is my redneck bath tub. When we built our house we didn't put in a tub...so this is their tub....what can I say...I'm from La.

I think it is around 56* this morning.... Wed. it will be low 39*. Now that I am not looking forward to. My yard just don't have much in it right now...Moon Vine, Mums, Perwinkles are still blooming but don't look too happy. I will share with ya'll a little something different.....

CC gave me this Morning Glory Bush...isn't it beautiful in color... and mr wasp loves it too. Would this be pretty to have a quilt made of these...so so cute.Tom you need to show this to Ms Donna....I know she could make this....that woman could make anything.

I went to a yard sale the other day and saw these rooster but they were not for sell. But she said, they come from Fred's. I just love them.

Here is a twig from my Mexican Heather....they are such tiny blooms but very pretty.

This was a Spartan at school and they were going to throw it away so this lady took it and redone it.....I thought this was such a great idea....and she used it at Bible school too. Some people are so smart and full of great ideas.

 UPDATE:  Tues. morning and we are getting some rain....I can't believe it. Have a nice day everyone.

Hello....how is everyone doing these days? I've missed everyone so much. Sorry I have been so busy lately and haven't gotten to blog. Helping my sister who had cataract surgery, daughter at pet shop, cleaning house some and cooking. Got out a little while yesterday checking out the yard sales but not much caught my eye....but I did get some boiled peanuts....and were they ever good. The old saying ....I ate the whole thing...well I did too...lol.

This is a bag of sugar spilled on the ground at my son work and bees were going at it strong. Then this little hummer came to it. And he let my son pet and hold it.

I got more excited about him holding it than he did.....lol. 

They are so cuteeeeeeee !!!  Next this is one of my granddaughters... she paid for her own Prom dress....I'm so proud of her. THis is Kimber the one who let to have lost her leg a while back....when she flipped their Rhino (its like a souped up 4-wheeler). She is doing now....trying a little track in school but its not going so well....she lost a lot of muscle in that leg. But she and I are very close. She is a little doll....

I well I didn't lie....did I???  Now I'm going to share with you all my Moon Vine.

One morning I counted 25 blooms at one time bloomed out. My pc ....is driving me nuts again... it needs to go back to the Dr....no....I need a new one.

And last this is my Ice Plant....CC will it last through the winter...on my porch??? If not I will just get another next year. Just can't bring it inside.

Ok would ya'll like to hear a BIG FUNNY on me ????  Well like I said, my pc is slow....but I am nuts....I have been trying to make my honey some tea while blogging.....ok I so far have messed up 6 bags  and I'm on 8 bags right now....I have boiled them bad each time....and I do 2 large bags at a time......Bingooooooo...I finally got my tea made. Well I have to close for now....hope the good Lord filles your need whatever it may be.

My sister has had her catracts removed and is staying with us for a few days. Those who had the surgery got some flowers from the Dr.....I'm hoping you can help me...who knows what kind these are?  They are very pretty. Thanks ahead cause I'm sure someone knows....

Good Morning to all!!  Well autumn has dropped in this morning. Husband went to pick up a paper and his truck said 62*. I have been working on my flower bed right in front of porch...pulled up lots and replaced with mums.

I had some trouble with pc lately some I lost my pictures of the bed but hubby said it is looking like a jungle.....so I said it is time to make a change and winter is right around the corner. I might reget some changes but it was time for change. I pulled up mex. petunias, perwinkles, some iris's, liriope grass and shared with my cousin, who had just got a new place and had no flowers.

I have got my mums, mulch down but I have to go and get something to put up to keep it from washing away now. But here is a pic. so far...

Well that's all I have time for... I have to get stones so it don't wash away my mulch....until later all you nice folks on GG...Blessings...

Well I took down my hummingbird feeders today.  And late this evening I saw one come around. I felt so bad. I made this collage of the little guys ....

This is my neighbors little one and my mexican petunias...

Here is a pretty little bush in my yard and I think this is called Abelia. The color is not so good so I will post a close-up also...oh and it smells good.
