or is it Summer? already. In my town we don't know which season we are in from one day to the other. And I know there are plenty of you having the same problem.
The sunny day made for a wonderful birthday and all the greetings I received on this site made my day even better. Did get my fingers in a little dirt on Monday pulling weeds? out of the Pansy Patch.
Today I was able to be out in this 70 some degree sunny day and cut back some dead plant tops and prune the butterfly bushes and my neighbors roses. I have been put in charge of helping them take care of those plants. He doesn't want any mulch around them because it hinders his mowing with the riding mower. Soooo I just do the best I can and will be able to do a little more this coming season, including feeding them a bit.
Finally had to call the doctor to get something for my infected earlobe. Now this med is a strong one and I am feeling its effects after just one dose. Why does the cure have to be worse than the problem? Just hope the earlobe heals well and I can give it another chance later on. Enough on this subject so it is closed.
Got a Michigan Bulb Co catalog this week. So many beautiful blooms to pine over. They give a special offer so I most likely will not be able to resist at least a couple of new bulbs for the summer.
The grands went back to school this week. My DIL is off during the same space of time and I know she was not glad to get back to those little 2 1/2 year olds in her classroom. This has been a good job for her as she is off when the grands are out of school, but it does get old. I know because I used to work at the same place but in the infant room.
The father of the grands is still deciding what to do in his yard in the way of landscaping. He has very definite ideas on design but not what plants to use. So between now and summer we will be figuring out what will be the best for him. I have offered to stay at my other sons home in another city that is close by for a week and start his beds this spring. They don't have a big lot but do have little Kahlua to consider as to what kind of beds to put in. At least she is not a whopping big dog that likes to dig everywhere.
So you can see I have already booked myself into more gardens to begin. Isn't life in the garden the greatest??
More To Come Later
