and so do the Flamingos!! They received a make over as their color was faded.
Rose of Sharon is such a nice fixture in the garden, watched a hummer going from bloom to bloom. This one was just a stick three years ago. Now it is about 5/6 feet tall. I need to do some pruning to keep it from being spindly.
Hubby let me work long enough one morning to clear the weeds and vines off the patio. Then I sprayed it with round up to prevent them from coming back. Still looks pretty good after a number of years.
There are baby Cuphea coming up again this year. The seeds are not true on the different varieties so you never know what you will get. There were at least three color shadings and flower shapes on last years seed. Found two Batface Cuphea on sale and thought I had lost them but they are coming right along, will be pretty in a few weeks. Also bought 2 coneflowers at Home Depot last week. They came home with spittle bug and then I found them on my own so they all got a nice little spray. One was the White Swan and the other Sunrise - a really nice yellow. Chocolate Ajuga or bugleweed came home with me as well. I had an online coupon from Home Depot which helped me with the money end.
