Actually this was in the front yard. The Mr sat and watched as I cut back an everything but dead huge Butterfly Bush, cut out some dead in a few Azealeas and trimed out the Red Knock Out Rose at the mail box. Am going to move it in a couple of months. Does not get enough water on the sandy high corner of the yard. One of the KO's has so much new bud growth, I sure hope it will bloom soon. The other have buds as well.
All the Angel Trumpet buds are getting fuller and fuller, hold on frost/freeze a little bit longer. There will be joy singing in the back yard again. Most everything is gone now except the Mexican Bush Sage which is purple, the purple Mexican petunias and the purple wild Ageratum. A few things in gold/orange but the beds are putting themselves to sleep for the cold weather to come.
Halloween was such a big holiday when my kids were little. I miss not having a small one to dress up and walk around the neighborhood. Here are some photos of my three as they celebrated getting all the candy they could eat for the next year.
This is Amy Jo the eldest as a witch. She chose to be a witch many years. She has such a sweet personality that I finally figured this was the one time of year she could be a 'meanie'
This is Amy again as a witch with her youngest brother David. He is wearing a bunny costume that was worn by all three of my children. I wish I still had it. David was anything but bunny like - he would have made a good bouncy puppy dog.
This is the youngest child Brent. He chose to be a clown for his Boy Scout Halloween party. I think he is wearing his sisters socks. We made the costume and sister helped with the makeup.
Thanks for allowing me to go down memory lane. I seem to need to do this every once in a while.
Now for a couple of garden photos. My Angel Trumpets have not bloomed at all, but since we had a cool spell and some rain they are full of buds. Take a look. I wait expectly for their beauty to shine.
This is written using the font Arial that shows all the time.
This is another font 'Georgia'. When you first posted your blog with 'no title' it used the wingding font that is nothing but symbols. I just edited your blog post and changed the font to the Arial.
Now to see if this comes out as I have typed it. Crazy world isn't it?
