We got 2/10 of an inch of rain Wednesday night. I didn't even know that it had rained! That's 3/10 for the month of June. I got out early yesterday morning. It was sooo coool. I loved it. Would you believe I cleaned up the Patio Garden all in one day? It usually takes me forever, but I wasn't hot at all. I thinned out those sprawling petunias a little bit, pulling weeds, sweet annie, and creeping jenny as I went around.
Finally, around noon, I was finished. I sat on the porch to enjoy my labor and saw something run across the patio. A rat? I investigated, but it ran into a clump of petunias. Then I saw it! A little baby bunny. I was going to catch it and put it in a safe place in the woods, but that little sucker was fast. Every time it would venture out, I tried to get it, but it found safety amongst the lilies and bee balms that you can see in the picture. Later in the day, Hubby saw it running across the driveway being chased by a hawk. He didn't see the hawk catch it, so I'm hoping it found safety in the brush at the end of the drive.
I played around with my pot plants, blue-watering and rearranging, for the rest of the day. It was so lovely, I didn't want it to end!!
