I still cant delete any messages from my inbox. Oh well.
The garden is going well. I have been burnt yet again by mail order seed companies; this year it was michigan bulb for a second year in a row. The maxamillian sunflower, mini red hollyhocks, pam's choice foxglove, black eyed susans, blazing star liatris, purple bone flowers, and scarlet bee balm all failed to grow or produce flowers. The bicolor butterfly bush is about three feet tall now and has just started to bloom, and the lilies are all growing and blooming. I got one bud on my holly hock plant and it was purple, not red. Everything I purchased from the local nurseries, however, is doing wonderfully, I have red, orange, and yellow bell pepper plants as well as two tomato plants. the peppers and tomatoes are each in pots, and I have some marigolds grown from last year's dead head seeds planted around the bases of them. I have concluded that I really need to work on growing plants from seed at home, and next year I am going to just direct sow my sunflowers. All the ones I started as seedlings were stunted and died off. The seeds I direct sowed in late April, however, are growing splendidly. some are even beginning to flower. My morning glories are have climbed all over my shepherd's pole and are blooming away. I haven't seen a single humming bird at my feeder yet, but somethign is drinking from it, so who knows.
We still dont know if we are going to be moving out of our apartment to a place in the country, so I have been haing day dreams of having two acres to garden instead of just a small plot of dirt in front of my apartment with some pots on the porch.
We have been really busy with selling at sci fi/ fantasy and anime conventions all over the south east. The business has been going well: if anyone wants any custom jewelry: let me know!
