We took a fall trip to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this past weekend. They are having the most wonderful scarecrow exhibit! Here are two of my favorites:

I love the idea of a scarecrow being a fancy lady!
Of course everything was gorgeous - here are some more of my favorites:

Giant pumpkin in the kids garden:
I love this time of year. We have also started getting some wonderful rain and I am happy to say that my fall veggies seeds are germinating! Wooo HOOOOO!
Put out seeds for my fall veggies this weekend. It has been nice and in the 50's at night but in the 80's during the day - so I am hoping for a good start. I don't usually have much luck with fall veggies as we tend to get slammed into winter super fast here with not much warning. Maybe this year will be different!
Fall has finally hit! We are wearing our sweaters and visiting the pumpkin patch. I just love this time of year! Every weekend with weed-eater in hand, I tidy up a bit more of the garden in the countdown for the winter slumber. Last weekend, I had a bit more fun with my weed-eater:
< p>No - not aliens....I am just tired of mowing! This is in my back yard and its kind of fun to see it from the sunroom, that looks down on the garden a bit. Perhaps some fun winter interest - HAH!
I was considering doing this in the front yard - but my hubby may just crawl in the hole of crazy wife embarrassment :)
