I did what I said I wasn't going to do.Go to the mall and Christmas shop.My daughter wanted me to go with her and my little grandson this morning.I said I'd go and keep Daniel occupied while Tiffany shopped.I ended up buying more ,altho I thought I did all my shopping on line.There were so many deals(choke,choke)Daniel pointed out things he really,really, wanted, and being so good hearted,he told me all the stuff his sister and brother needed too.I'm a big sucker,so-ooooo. I dread to show Dave all the credit card receipts....I think I'll hold off for a few days......
On a happy note.When I got home from the spending spree,I went out to the pond and threw a line in.I didn't catch anything,but it was a beautiful day and it was relaxing.I just sat out there pondering how I was going to break the news to good old Dave that we'll be in the poor house soon....
We worked outside today cleaning up the gardens.The rest of the week is supposed to be beautiful too.The weather man said it's indian summer.I have to admit I 've slacked off keeping my flower gardens weed free like I used to do.Ever since the stroke(three years ago)I haven't kept up with the weeding,Now I'm paying for it.Dave cut everything down in the front beds,the back ones I did a couple of weeks ago.Tomorrow,I have a lot to do.I can't believe how much crab grass has taken over....
If anyone uses "PREEN" for weeds,will you let me know how it works.I know I can't use it until spring.I've never used it because I was afraid it would kill my flowers.Also,we had a duck then and I was afraid it would poison her....Will it kill new seedlings or just weeds? I would appreciate any ideas for getting rid of weeds,besides pulling them....
I pulled out so much creeping thyme.It has taken over my garden.I love it,but it spreads like crazy.I still haven't gotten around to planting spring bulbs.It just seems like I'm backed up this year.The warm weather is giving me a chance to hopefully catch up a little.
I have a lot of cone flower seeds if anyone wants some.They are pink ,white & purple,mixed....Also,marigolds
....Let me know....
Believe it or not,I've got an early start on shopping.I went on line last night and ordered the electronic Monopoly Banking game.It's suppose to be a hot item that kids want this year.I figured I'd better get it now.My grandkids had everything in the Toys R Us catalog circled.I'm sure they'd like just about anything....I told them they were getting nothing but socks and underwear from us if they weren't good.I dread getting in traffic and crowded malls, so this year I've wised up....online it is.Actually,I love Christmas time and shopping in small stores,then eating out.It's just large malls that seem hectic,hot and loud.Maybe it's just me getting old....am I losing the Christmas spirit.? I hope not...
Our little kitten "Boomer's" is gone.We found him laying outside the barn Friday afternoon.We lifted him up and saw blood on his rear end.We rushed him straight to the vet thinking he had been hit by a car.The vet called Saturday and said Boomers didn't make it thru thru night.He said it wasn't a car that hit him,but looked like someone kicked him very hard.We think maybe a horse.I would hate to think a person did it.He was only 6 months old....I know some folks hate cats,but he was so little and sweet.We are telling the kids we think he ran off.It might ease the pain of losing him.... So far the kids haven't missed him.
May this beautiful kitty cat live in Heaven with God.
