Hello everyone its been a while, its been so hot, back is still giving me fits, but i have not forgot about you all. did get some radishes this was the first thing out of the garden, the tomatoes and cucumbers are geting there i cant wait. as you can see i have a mighty praying mantis that is garding my tomatoes and cucumbers bless his heart and we are over run with grasshoppers now the little buggers! the cone flowers are blooming like mad and the roses are still going strong with all the rain we had in the spring and early summer things are growing like mad, now its hot, HOT HOT. this old woman is a shade loving flower and i tell you it is wilting me. i am trying to catch up on all your blogs, hope everyone is well, and your gardens are to.
ok all just added the pics of my garden beds now, veges look good in the first two beds, the flowers in the secound two look a little worst for wear, but next year i am hoping they will look fabulose, the rest are of the new wal-mart and the storm coming in on the way back from the store, i will never take the beautiful views i have here for granted, i am in ahh of this beauty that i am so lucky to have surround me everyday and i have to share it with you. i had the shots yesterday to my back and to my surprise i did not punch the doctor it hurt like wholly heck, but i survived, so lets hope this helps.i hope all is well with all my wonderfull friends i have meet here, i am so thankfull i found this site by accident, you make me smile , laugh and get me through my very painfilled days. gosh it must be the pain pillls talking, cause i realy am a pain in the X%^ . cant wait to go to new york on the 4th to vist family, see the new grand daughter for the first time, will be keeping my eye on all of you, have fun as allways sheila
rainey day here, took dog to vet, hopefully his tests come out ok!. i did not get out to take pics of garden so i am puting up more of my ride on thursday for all my friends here to look at and enjoy, some of the wild flowers were so pretty, the valture was neat and had to add that. not a lot going on here today, just being my old and achey red headed self, looking forward to go on vac and see my grandaughter for the first time. and to see all of the rest of my family and friends look out upstate new york you will not be the same when we get done :O) gosh i wish boarding dogs was not so expensive looks like they will be eating bon-bons and lounging on silk blankets, and i will be eating p&b & j the rest of the year to afford it twenty some dollars a day and i have the three, oh well thats what i get for being a dog lover, i would not have it any other way, there a lot of company , guess ill have to quit playing with my pictures and in the garden and get a job,oh well ill think about that after vac. just keep a smile on my face dont get in a funk and have a great time, sorry g.g. friends usualy my blogs are more cheerfull guess this rain and the achey joints have dampened my mood, so i will fix that, get out in the garden tomorrow take lots of pics for all of you and pack my bags and think about seeing my beautiful grandaughter it does not get any better than that, and if it does dont tell me. have a great day friends :O) redzey
this the screen cottagegardener is geting and can not click on anything or log on, just this. i have sent two messages to the contact site no answer, posted two blogs about it. no help. and added a post to the forums about problems. this poor lady just wants her garden guides, would she have to sign up again on another site. dont know a email addresss to give her and there is no phone number to call if there is problem. please any info to help our friend would by nice. thanks again redzey
what a beautiful day, did have to have a MRI think it is a pinched nerve, toes are numb . but anyways husband took me for a ride afterwards and i forgot all about it looking at the beautiful country side of utah, we drove all most to evenston wy- and around heber and park city, saw this humming bird siting on a limb cant belive these old eyes spoted this, and lots of wild flowers what a wonderfull day just wanted to share it with my beautiful friends here, enjoy!
woke up to birds singing what a nice way to wake up, guess they were happy i filled there feeders, over slept today the dogs had me up a couple times last night. so it was a late start, got the bills taken care of, went to get the dogs food and some things for me and hubby, went to wal-mart to the one that is nice and marks down there plants , well i was just going to look but they started calling my name and put up such a fuss i had to bring them home, what could a girl do? LOL got a rodadendren i bet it comes up to my thigh for 7 DOLARS!! so cool, and a couple of forsythea for 3;50 and a hydrenga for 3;50 (have to buyplants with names i can spell) LOL & a couple of watermellon cause mine is looking bad, maybe to late to plant but ill give it ago and see what happens. stopped at a road side stand and got the biggest cherrys i have ever seen and boy did they tast great, got back late from shopping, so the plan is to get up early and get them planted wish me luck! sure wish my garden guide friends lived closer would love to take witt and some of the rest of you and go to the yard sales ,check out some garden centers and maybe a estate sale or two well maybe some day. hope everyone had a great day, good night (redzey) :O)
some have asked to see the before pictures of the pictures i have worked on, and if you or anyone is interested i was going to post them to my blog, i know there not gardening stuff, but my be you would like to see some of my photos, so here goes, i hope you enjoy them, i love working on them its a lot of fun, some have taken a few hours to do, just something i have taught my self todo. enjoy my friends :O)
showers off and on today what a beautiful day, planted red shasta daisey in the blue pots, gave the flowers some miracle grow, picked up dog dew! yuck! vegtables are coming up, tomatoes are doing great cucunbers are trying there best hope they make it. still have more weeds along the lenght of the fence in the back will be doing that tomorrow so many plants coming up along there cant belive they all made it, will have to take some before and after pics and write a log of all the plants i have but right now just trying to get everything done before we go on vac, and see my new grand baby in july cant belive she is two months old and i have not been able to hold that sweet baby yet its killing me!
was just siting on the porch tonight rocking smelling the wonderfull russian sage (do any of you have that) oh it smells so good, i have never seen the plant till i moved to utah . the rain had just got done and it was smelling great and i was just siting rocking watching the sun sat and hopeing humming birds would come only have seen a couple so far. cant belive it was still dusk out tonight at 9, hubby is at friends house playing texas holdem so just me and the dogs tonight, what a big night for us, changed the sheets ahhh! window open to let the cool night air in and watch a movie ,i no the dogs will have a fit cause they will want to watch animal planet ! LOL have a great night all, thanks for all the smiles from reading all of your blogs :O)
so tierd, from 9-2 weeded front bed planted what looks like a lavender daisy, got rid of all the wild morning glory lets hope, put down fresh mulch, clementis vine on the mail box is growing great , hope you all enjoy my new pics, and that you all had a wonderfull day i know i did, ache like heck, hands are red from the mulch all in all a wonderfull day:O)

the top bush is where i got the roses for the vases on the table, there just opening like mad now, the yellow rose i put up before is open now and so pretty. got a lot of things done today,yeah me!! took done all of the vines in the front of the house the darn wild morning glory is choking out everything , hopefully illl finish that bed in the morning. and pulled lots of weeds in the back yard to, this achey old red head needs a hot, hot bath and maybe the dogs will let me sleep tonight, cause i need to get up early and get going , wish me luck my friend. have a great night. till tomorrow god willing :O)
slept a little to late ughh! i love geting up with the birds, but i get up with the dogs at night so hubby can sleep he has to get up for work, but i cant wait to get out there , i had to read all my friends blogs first and see what adventures everyone had, needed to get my G/G fix, and a smile and laugh from you before i go out, i still have lots to plant lots of weeds to pull and ill try and take pics and remember to bring my recipes upstairs to the computer tonight so i can give you some of the recipes i have talked about. i have to get my mamas recipe for boiled rasine cake when i see her in july, i can find mine and she allways makes this for everyone and when i smell it i think of my sweet mama, i dont want to lose it. well the garden is not doing its self and there is no rain yet, i felt like a little kid yesterday with my nose up to the window wishing i was out playing in the dirt but could not get out between the thunder claps LOL
