Tomatoes are a fruit or vegetable either is correct. To plant you dig a sall hole 1/4 of an inch deep by seed.Already growing plants need excluding pot 2/3 of the stem buried for better root system and more support. You should pluck off the first flower buds to allow the plants to streghthen up.It will not make flowers for quite a while after that.If you don't take suckers off you actually get more tomatoes.A cage, trellis, or stake is required for harder chance of disease and more suport.Determinates don't need as much support as indeterminates because the plant is short and bushy.Keep well watered and in lots of sun for best results.Happy gardening!:D

The first thing is to examine the seeds you are going to plant.Make sure they are hard and the proper color and if not discard them.Next you work on the garden bed.It can be a raised bed but that isn't required. Then fill it with organic compost from leaves to manure. After that you plant the seeds 1-11/2 inches deep. Then water well and watch your sprouts zoom up to a extreme vegetable hieght.
Most hybrid is open pollinated.
