Busy time of the year Part 2

So I guess I lied about not working outside...I couldn't help myself. I just did a little tidying up and I wanted to see how the fence would look in the back yard. I've been looking for something to edge my flower bed in my backyard but it's such a large space I needed something...well cheap!! I'll admit it....I'm kinda tight with a dollar. LOL I found these little cottage garden pieces at Kmart for pretty cheap. I only bought 10 pieces though...I guess it would help if I learned to measure an area then I would know how much I needed. I think it looks okay....It's not the beautiful rocks that I would love to have but it will do!! The flower bed looks kinda messy but I'm working on it....I sure wish there was a way for me to block the view of my ac unit and I wish I had privacy fencing....maybe one day. :-)

 

 

 

 

 

Busy time of the year

I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated my blog! So what have I been up to?? Let's see I've been working on adding edging to some more of my flower beds. My Earth Box came!! That was pretty exciting. I have it all set up but haven't decided what to plant in it yet. I've already bought some bush cukes and pepper plants. I was thinking about planting them today but I think I'll wait a little longer. I hate to lose them to a cold night or something. I also found some beautiful coleus at Kmart. I'm definitely going to wait to plant that....learned that lesson last year. lol I put them out too early last year and they turned to mush.

It's a beautiful day today but the body is kinda tired and I don't feel like doing much. I accomplished quite a bit last weekend though so that will make up for it. :-) I'm still working out pretty hard (hard for me anyway) and tomorrow's bootcamp...gotta save up my strength for that. lol The workouts are paying off though....I'm losing a few pounds but more importantly I'm losing inches! Those count the most!

I found some annual mix seeds from the Dollar tree and I plan on sprinkling those in my containers on the front porch. I'll make sure to take pics to see how they progress. I just have to make sure I don't get impatient and plant flowers before I give the seeds a chance. I get a little antsy. lol

My little veggie set up...I can't wait to plant my veggies!!!

 

 

The coleus are so pretty. I plan on putting those in two big containers that I have on each side of my front door. Now I just need some sweet potato vine! I'm thinking I won't see that in the stores until maybe next month though.
