Good morning,
It is very hot here in AR. our little peace of heaven. I have been enjoying my grandchildren. They came up to swim in our pool. It is very nice to have a cool place to escape to in the heat. We just got it set up last week. I am going to need some ideas to help me figure out what to do around the sides of it for now...once we get it all cleaned up! They did alot of digging and we have alot of dirt and rocks to get cleaned up. I was thinking of just a edgeing around it and then the little white rocks or mulch with some flowers every so often. Because eventually we will build a deck all the way around it. I want it to be pretty now tho, and not just grass.
I went on a trip to visit my mom and sister and other family in Okla. and it was very hot and humid there also...I took pictures of some of my sisters flowers on her back patio. She is doing real well with her flowers this year, I got her started a few years ago, and she is really enjoying it. I am so glad...
Well, I have already watered this morning and done alittle weeding, but, will do more this eve if it ever cools off some...and the mosquitoes are killing me just before dark...gotta remember to spray myself with off first...
I am having a cup of coffee and my two dogs are laying beside me while I type this Blog entry..they don't care for the heat either...Star Light, and Moon Shine, those are our doggies...
I am wondering by the way about my Flowering Crabapple Tree...it was so pretty when I left for Okla. and when I got back it was the first thing I noticed when I drove in, all the leaves have been eaten off it! Can you tell me anyone what might have been the bug or insect that did that? That has never happened before and I planted it about 5 years ago...my first tree I planted after we built here on our land...
And I bought a bouganvillia in Okla. And I was wondering what I should do to it when fall and winter comes? I will have to take it in but, I don't know if I can just trim it back and put it in our storage building and cover it well with mulch or what? Welcome some help here...
Happy Gardening....
