Good Morning Friends!
Let me catch you up since my last blog. We did go sledding and had a GREAT time. I put some video on my FB page if you would like to check it out. Trinity Smith is how I am listed just let me know you're from GG and I will accept you as a friend, (Miss Reba, we did have a blast!) I didn't get picts of it because I was busy mannning McKenzi. By the afternoon the snow was all melted.....crazy! But thats Colorado for you.
Then Wed. of this week it snowed like crazy again! It was wet and heavy. I had to cover my Hyacinths, which are opening by the way. The snow broke a big branch off the tree in the backyard, which was the home of McKenzi's tree swing. She is very angry about that......me, I'm happy as a lark, as now my grass will grow in that spot cause she won't be trampling it...lol. Mom 1, child 0! ha ha ha. There were several branches in the front yard that were broken as well. One was right over the top of my car. I was very blessed as it didn't come all the way down until I got my car moved. Thank you GOD! I will post some picts in my album. I'm not sure why but I can't get them to post in my blog.
We are awaiting more snow today.....YUK YUK YUK!!! I don't know what we will do today, but I'm thinking we may go to the Outdoor Colorado Expo. I was watching the news and there are some gardener/train lovers who put train tracks thru out their gardens and they have kindly set up some displays. Sounds neat. I'll be sure to get picts and share with you.
Have a great weekend everybody & God Bless! ~Trinity~
Yep, the weathermen were right, we got snow. Not really sure how much though. It was blowing snow at some points, but it's enough to give some good moisture thats for sure! It's pretty cold here this morning and the high is suppose to be 33, but tomorrow, well thats a whole other story, 50's, YES!!!
Think we are going to go sledding with my Uncle today. That should be fun. McKenzi is the apple of my Uncle's eye. I don't know who is more excited her or my Uncle..lol.
I hope all of you have a really great weekend with nice warm weather! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Yesterday was a very productive day. It was 70 degrees and I couldn't have asked for more. Remember I had told you about the patch along side my driveway that was bare and full of weeds last summer? Well, yesterday I got out there with the shovel, garden weisle and a rake. I turned it all over broke it up and cleaned it out. WHOA! My Hubby threw down some grass seed for me, the only problem is that I didn't buy enough. So I get to take another trip to the nursery........YAHOOOOO! I'm trying to fingure out where I would like to put a flower box of some sort in there. I have one rose bush there and plenty of space for some more flowers. This is also where that horrible bus stop is, so my thought is maybe if I put some more flowers in there, the folks riding the bus will he less apt to leave thier trash behind and cut through my driveway into my yard and back to the sidewalk.......maybe....hmmmm. Today after I get more grass seed, I will throw down that and some fertilizer as we are suppose to get 5-10 inches of snow tomorrow. That will be great for the new seed!
My Columbines are turning green......YAAAAAAY! McKenzi's strawberries are starting to take off too. Her patience is wearing thin already though. Everyday she goes out and checks them. And everyday she says, "Mom why's God taking so long? Doesn't he know I just want them to grow so I can eat them with my lunch? It's not too much longer til lunch time and they aren't going to be ready" She is sooooo funny.
I hope all of you are doing well. Have a wonderful day! God Bless you! ~Trinity~
YAHOOOOOOO! I finally got the chance to go out and play! I put the epsom salt around my roses, and put down fresh mulch. Then I moved on to the other flower beds and cleaned out the remaining (or at least I hope) leaves, feed them and put down mulch. I already have some buds on a couple of my rose bushes. I'm sooooo excited, can you see me dancing around? Well I am! Today is chilly and we are getting sleet, but I see it as free water. Also I know Spring is just around the corner, so no worries!
We woke up late this morning and didn't make it to church. So we went to the Butterfly Pavillion. So AWESOME! Now, as soon as I can get the picts off my cell phone I will post them on here in another blog.
I am reading a GREAT book right now. The Shack, by Wm Paul Young. If you like to read and have some spare time, do pick it up. I promise you'll love it!
Hope all of you are having a wonderful Sunday! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Hello friends! Hope this finds all of you doing well, in good health, spirits and enjoying wonderful weather.
The weather is decent here for now. We may get rain, snow or rain snow mix in the next couple of days. I'm praying for rain. I won't be taking my trip to New Mexico, I'm rather bummed out about that. But everything happens for a reason.......right? Yeah I will go with that.
My Hyacinths are really going to town now, no blooms just yet and thats ok. I sure can't wait to see them and open my bedroom window and have thier fragrance fill my room! I'm going to try and get outside tomorrow and put some Epsom salt and bone meal down around my rose bushes. I had planned to do that a while back and never got it done. (The white stuff put a stop to that) There are some places in my yard that are turning green......can't wait to mow.
McKenzi's other front top tooth is loose and she can hardly stand the wait for A. taking a big bite of apple and it come out and B. The arrival of the toothfairy. That money is burning a hole in her pocket and the tooth is just barley loose......she's so funny.
Well I'm off to read bedtime stories. Have a great evening and God Bless! ~Trinity~
