We will be leaving for Texas on Wed. at 3am. I have most of the packing done, have a few odds and ends that I still have to get into the bag. But I have to make a trip to the shoe store first, pack the cooler and then I think I'll be done. It's about a 12-13hr drive from here, wish us luck. McKenzi hasn't been on this trip for two years so it could get ugly. Found some games and stuff she could play along the way and our plan is to stop and have a picnic lunch. Texas has some very nice rest areas where there are little parks for the kids, so that could work out to be a huge blessing. Thank you Texas tax payers!!!
Haven't been doing too much lately, just dreaming about spring and all the gardening I can't wait to do. Hubby got on the roof over the week end and cleaned the gutters and we put down some fert. in the veggie garden area. Is it Spring yet? No I didn't think so.
I hope all of you have a really great Thanksgiving! Cougar sent me an email (xerox) and I have forwarded it to those of you that I have email addresses for, if you have other GG members email, maybe you could forward it to them as well.....I think its wonderful. Thanks Cougar! I just want to say Thank you to all the military families who may be spending this holiday without there loved ones, without your/their sacrifice my family and I wouldn't be spending this holiday together. I pray for your loved ones safe and speedy return. Take care and God Bless all of you and your families! Love your Sister in Christ ~Trinity~
Have you ever experienced it? It is something, the fist time my hubby and I did, we were stuck on I-70 couldn't see the road and barely the car in front of us. All of a sudden the sky lit up an orange pink color and the lightening seemed even brighter than normal. Freakest thing ever. Any way we are enjoying it tonight from the comfort of our home. It's pleasant this way...lol. So for the next couple of days we won't be doing too much maybe some shoveling but thats about it. So if you're having nice weather enjoy it for me too. Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~

To our Vets and active duty military men and women! Because of your sacrifice my family and I are able to enjoy the many luxuries of freedom. I don't think there are enough words to tell you what you mean to us. Please know our thoughts, prayers and support are with you and your families. May God Bless you and keep you now and always! ~Trinity~
I don't remember if it was Witt or Mudpies who suggested I get this book for McKenzi. I just wanted to say Thank You!! I love it and I think every little girl should read it at least once. We're gonna check out a couple of the other books he's written too.
Have any of you ever had troubles with Box Elder Bugs? In my hometown they were bad in the spring . The town sprayed I don't know what and that would keep them down. McKenzi and I were out raking leaves and preparing the rose bushes for winter and on the south side of the house they were just everywhere. I raked some leaves that had gathered right along the house and they came out and started crawling up the side of the house.....eeeewwww. She took her shoe off and just started smashing them...yuk. So any suggestions would be great, they are getting in the house and I'm not sure where or how. Thanks in advance, have a great day and God Bless! ~Trinity~
We took a much needed trip to wally world yesterday evening and boy did we go at just the right time. We got pansies and a few inside plants for 50 cents...YAHOOOOO! Then as we made our way over to the grocery section my hubby spotted turkeys and like a kid seeing a toy that they can't live without he says, "honey they have turkeys for 40cents a pound, can we get one, we're gonna need it"......he is so funny. We did get one for $4.87 can you believe it, super score! Ok so enough of that I have some errands I need to run. Have a great day & God Bless! ~Trinity~

I am so sorry that we cannot be adults and that we can only share "certain" things with one another. That is one reason why this country has so many issues today. we all have to cater to those who cannot seem to accept others. I'm also sorry for those who are ashamed of thier religion, for those whom I have offended and I won't bother another soul on this site again. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!!!! ~TRINITY~ Add a Comment This is in reguards to a blog I posted today.
Now I sit me down in school where praying is against the rule
for this great nation under God finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites, it violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow, becomes a Federal matter now
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that's no offence; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, and pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but first the Bible to quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant senior queen, and the unwed daddy our senior king.
It's inappropriate to teach right from wrong we're taught that such judgments do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls, study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, no word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess, when chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So Lord, this silent plea I make:
should I be shot; my soul please take!
Amen!
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please pass this on.
Jesus said, "whosoever therfore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation: of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels" Mark 8:38
NOT ASHAMED, AND PASSING IT ON.
My moms friend gave her this on paper and while I can't hand you one, I am. Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Hi everyone! It's been a couple of days since my last blog. I've been trying to find my camera so I could post Halloween picts, but still no luck. I am afraid I dropped it trick or treating and it became somebodies Halloween gift. I'm sad. So I'll just share with you. McKenzi ended up being Sleeping Beauty, because I thought it would be too cold for The Little Mermaid costume, and the night before Halloween I thought we are taking Dixie with us so I should dress her up too. So off to Petsmart we went. I don't know who was more excited Dixie or McKenzi. My origanal plan was to make Dixie a fairy godmother (SB has 3) but I didn't have any luck finding just a dress. However they had 3 costumes left. Tinker Bell, Cinderella & The Little Mermaid. McKenzi thought Cinderella and they could both be princess's.....so they were. Dixie wore the dress like she was people and they both got goodies. It was lots of fun.
For the past several days we have had the nicest weather, and I love it. I really just want to plant, but I know better than that. I think we will play outside in the leaves today and maybe take a trip to the nursery to get some good grass seed. I have about a 500sft section next to my driveway/public sidewalk that I spent all summer pulling weeds. I am thinking about puting seed down but not sure. There is a bus stop right there and people tend to stand in that area. They leave thier trash behind and it makes me crazy! It would look wierd with just a little fence there and I had thought if I put a bunch of flowers they are less likely to stand in it, I just don't know. Have any ideas? I'll get my other camera out and take a pict so you can see.
So all in all not much going on here in my neck of the woods. Hope everything is calm and running smoothly for all of you. Have a great weekend and God Bless! ~Trinity~
