Good morning all! Well its been snowing since Tuesday evening and no sign of it letting up just yet. Weatherman says after midnight tonight. Its gonna be cold as you know what tomorrow. We played outside for a few yesterday, but we didn't make a snowman yet, maybe today. Any way here are a few picts I took. The one in the daylight was yesterday afternoon, we've gotten more since. The night time ones I took at 3am this morning, needed a drink of water so I thought why not. If we get any more I may need somebody to come shovel me out..lol. I don't know what Halloween will be like, from what they are saying it should be a little dry, we shall see.
Take care, stay warm and God Bless! ~Trinity~

So last week we raked up the leaves and bagged them, you all got to see the picts. So I put some around the tree in the front yard and some lineing the walkway. Well for the last two mornings when we get up there is one bag that has been moved from one spot to the other, and it is face down. Now the bag is ripped in the back so if it were squirrels I'm sure they would have spilled out the leaves. So yesterday I picked it up so that it's little ghostie face was showing, this morning, still in the same position......hmmmmmm. My Uncle said to put a camera on it and see, I'm too much of a chicken to do that.

So on this picture you can see where it was and on the first one you can see where it is. Maybe its cramping the Mummy's style???????. Have a spooktacular day everyone!
We took McKenzi to Creepy Hallows last night. It is a night of "safe" Trick or Treating the city puts on for the kids every year. It was our first time, and man is she ever excited for Halloween now. Last year was funny cause she couldn't get to the doors fast enough, this year should be hilarious. She was a maniac last night. I remember getting that excited. Sugar makes you do crazy things...lol. It was chilly, but fun. We wanted to go on the hayride, but thought better of it when we saw the line wrapped around the corner and then found out there was only one wagon and held 4 people and it took 20min. It was too cold for that, maybe next year.
We were going to go to the pumpkin patch today, but the weather has changed and it's not so nice. With the three of us being well again I would like to try and keep it that way. So we will play it safe and go to the grocery store and buy a pumpkin there. Then if it's nice Friday we can still go out and have some fun.
We met a husband and wife today, super nice people. They are over the road team drivers. I don't know what it was about them but we just clicked. I imagine that is what it would be like to meet any of you. It was like we had known them for years. Just kicked back everyday people, funny, interesting. I love it when God blesses me like that. I hope I make other people feel like that. Anyway, I hope God blesses each one of you with a new friend today. Don't forget to smile! Have a great Saturday, take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great day. We are cold, but good. It's snowing and raining, not much is sticking to the ground, by night fall it will all be ice I'm sure. So today we are inside and warm.
I was looking out my window and I started wondering. If I bought some shepards hooks and put bird feeders around the yard would squirrels be able to access the feeders? I know several of you have bird feeders and thought you might be able to answer that question for me. Currently I have one feeder in a tree almost high enough that I can't reach it. The branch it is on is the lowest branch and the farthest one from the tree so the squirrels can't eat all the food. This tree is the only one in the back yard. With all the birds I have in the yard it would be nice if I could put another feeder or two out there. Thanks in advance for your help. Have a great day and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Well we finally got the front yard done. Yesterday was a day of play. So after making some homemade cinnamon rolls, we decided it was time to make our yard "Halloween". After raking and bagging the leaves, McKenzi decided she would like to share a picture of her and her ghosts with you, and say "Hi to mom's garden friends." It's not the greatest the batteries were trying to die and she was impatient. We'll post picts of the yard completed in a day or two. Today was our last warm day for a few days. Suppose to get rain and cold temps again starting tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great day. Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~

Thank you for all your prayers! It's been about 33hrs now and still no fever....YES! After taking a couple doses of Clear Lung and Elderberry syrup, she is doing great. The congestion is breaking up and shes' been able to cough that stuff out, she doesn't sound pluged up anymore. And she slept through the night, and her appitite is back. Yesterday evening she was well enough to lock herself in the shed. I knew she was feeling better for sure at that point.
Now that I've peaked your curiosity I'll tell the story. My hubby had left the side window in the shed open, while the door itself was locked. The lock is one that locks from the outside only. Little miss drug an empty flower box over and stood on it, hoisted herself through the window shut it and then when she was ready to get out and couldn't went crazy. I was inside downstairs and I could hear her screaming so I'm looking everywhere, because the scream was muffled. I walk past a window and see the shed doors moving slightly and realize thats where she is. I run get the keys and fly out the back door, bending the whole screen door cause it got stuck on the main frame. Open the door she comes flying out and says, "oh mom, they did it, they jumped over the fence and locked me in here." It was all I could do not to laugh, I knew that she was up to something. I don't think she will be going in there any more without dad. We also found out Dixie is nothing like Lassie, she was sun bathing on the swing the whole time....lol.
Yesterday we didn't get the yards cleaned up so that is our plan today and it is nice! Almost 80, with a little breeze, perfect yard weather. So off I go, I hope all of you have a great day and thanks again for all your prayers! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Good morning everyone! Hope you are all well. My little darling is sick, I guess turning 5 just did her in. I am hopeful it is not H1N1, she is showing some signs, if she is not doing any better by Monday I will take her in. She may be trying to cut teeth, the molars in the back look a little swollen. I don't want to over react or under react. I read Elderberry syrup reduces the duration and helps build your immunity. I think I'll get some and we will all take some. The more natural we can go the better, without being foolish that is.
I was suprised this morning to see the new design on the site. It's nice and I think even more user friendly. Thanks to who ever did it, looks great!
The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend, temps in the 70's. If it really warms up I'm opening the window and airing out the house. I can't wait for spring! I wanted to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend, but I think we will wait until the kiddo is feeling better. So I will work on the yards, getting leaves raked up and working the soil where the veggie garden was, pick up yard bombs (dog poo, thats the hubbys job!) and winterize my rose bushes. I'm not going to cut them back yet. But I will put down some epsom salt and bone meal and mulch.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Keeping all of you in my prayers, take care friends and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Yesterday was McKenzi's 5th birthday and our anniversary. So we celebrated her birthday and with any luck sometime this month we'll go have dinner and a movie. Everything was Princess and boy was she so happy. I let her believe that there was not going to be a party. Then "Gram" (my mom) came and got her to go get a new bike. While they were gone I was a mom on a mission, iced the cake and decorated it, hubby blew the balloons up with helium, guest arrived, pizza came, it all fell together beautifully. She told my mom, "I know when I get back there is gonna be a party"...lol. Kids just know I guess.
The weather is still a little chilly, fog this morning, but we are supposed to have sun and a warm up. They say this weekend we could see 70's YAHOOO! I think my pansies are gonna make it. Even the ones in the ground have sprung back up. I will just have to really monitor the lows and get those ones covered and bring the potted ones in. I'm greatful.
Take care everybody, hope all is well. God Bless you all! ~Trinity~
Some of you know already put I wanted to share it with all of you. McKenzi decided to have Dad take the training wheels off her bike friday. She refused any help what so ever, after a couple of hours she had kinda gotten the hang of it. She would start pedaling and when she got going she would freak and take her feet off and fall a little. Today it was decent for a while so back outside we went and by darned if she didn't get on that bike and ride like she knew what she was doing. YAHOOOOO! I am so proud of her. I cried a little when she wasn't looking. I know most of you have been there done that, but I'm sure just like me you had to share it with anybody who would listen, so thank you for listening. Yes she wears helmet and pads when riding, that is a must.
So here is my question. My pansies that are in the pot froze (oops I forgot to bring them in) and they are drooping, but they defrosted this after noon and started to stand back up a bit. Do you think they will make a come back? I'm bringing them in tonight. Now the ones in the ground out back I'm sure are gonners they look terrible. I was looking on the internet and either I'm not being diligent enough or I'm just not finding the answer to that. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!
Have a great evening and a wonderful tomorrow. Take care and God Bless ~Trinity~
Good morning all. Well it happened I lost the whole garden and my pansy's. McKenzi came and woke me up and said mom its snowing. I looked out the window and sure enough. Then I turned on the TV and it says the temp is 18 degrees and if feels like 10. They were not kidding. So I took a look at the garden and everything is flat to the ground. I am sad, but it was bound to happen. I just hate to see so much be ruined. Life will go on and there is always next year.
On a happier note, it is so quiet outside, peaceful, and just plum relaxing. We will stay inside today and be warm and safe. The roads are pretty slick from what I see on the news. Take care everybody and God Bless you all! ~Trinity~
Hi hope this finds everybody in good health! I just got a call from my Aunt. She and her whole family have H1N1. They are quarentined to the house. Her daughter got it from college and they sent her home didn't tell her what she had and of course she spread it to the rest of the family. If you have a spare prayer and you could throw them in there I would sure appreciate it! Kristi, Tucker, Emilie and D.
I also just heard that anyone 25 and younger, and 70 and older should not get the vaccine. Has anybody else heard that?
It is a garden miricle, my tomatoes are still ok! We have some sun today and it's much warmer so I think green or not they are coming off today. Everything else is gone, but we had a good run so here's to next year.
Take care everybody, wash your hands and God Bless you all!
This is not a drill.........we really have snow! At this moment it is not sticking but it is coming down. I don't know what the low is tonight but I'm sure it will start sticking in the next couple of hours.
Tomatoes are still hanging on for dear life. Brought my potted pansy's in lastnight. The ones in the ground outside seem to be doing well. The rose moss....well, we shall see how they fair.
Take care, if you have sun and warm temps, enjoy it a little for me! If you've got cold weather come on over, I got stew on and hot cocoa or coffee if you like. We can play cards or something. ~Trinity~
Hi everybody! Its been a couple of days so I thought I'd catch ya up on the goings on here.
Still no snow.......Thank you Lord. We have gotten down to freezing temps a couple of nights, but was able to get everything covered up, no sign of damage thus far. I read an add on Craigs List yesterday, people looking for green tomatoes, so I fired off a reply. I really don't think I'll be using all of them so why not share.
McKenzi lost another tooth which was a good thing cause the two on the bottom are coming up and were a little crooked because of the one that was hanging on down there. The "tooth fairy" dropped the ball and went to sleep before she paid her visit....oops! That was the sadest look I've ever seen, yesterday morning she says," dad she didn't bring me nothin, and I even wrote her a letter." So I "called" her turns out she broke her wing, it was cold, she hit her wing, it broke, but she was healed by last night. So we have a happy child again.
I was reading Cougars blog and it made me smile. Last October was the first time I got to carve pumpkins with my Dad and Brothers. I had such a great time, we went to the pumpkin patch, carved pumpkins, just had a great time. The funniest part was my youngest brother DJ. He is really big for his age 4yrs, 4ft, a bit heavier than normal and strong as all get out. To see him and listen to him you would think there is nothing in this world that could get him down. Well if he was Super Man......Pumpkin would be his weakness. Just the smell of pumpkin brought him to his knees and he was heaving like crazy. Poor kid, he really wanted to help carve those pumpkins but it just wasn't happening. Oh, I am just so thankful for all the memories that the Lord has given me through the years. When things get bad or a little tougher than you would like, sit back and reflect on those memories that you have stored away. I promise they will bring you to a happy place, which is where He wants us all the time. Take care friends and have a great day! God Bless you all -Trinity-
Its cold here again and it looks like it will stay that way for a week or so. Yuk!
I got some tomatoes canned yesterday and have another batch to do today. There are still lots of green ones out there and there is a frost warning in effect for tonight. So my lovely mother is going to help me get them covered and I will pray that will be enough to save them! The cold weather has done wonders for the broc. though so I can't complain about that.
Hope everyone is having a great week, take care and God Bless! -Trinity-
