It's been nice to have replys to my blog. Just to know someone out there has good vibes for me, feels good. Today was a good day in the garden. I just love digging in the dirt. I moved some day lillies today. Hope it's not to late for that. Just didn't get around to it before now. They're pretty hardy, though. Someone commented about posting poems. I just can't find where to do that. Could this be the place? I was inspired by a "walk about" in a friends garden, to create a poem in her honor. Would love to share........just don't know where.

Well, today starts the Summer Vacation. Not much traffic on the road, yet. The lake is still up. Boaters, swimmers and skiers should take care. Floating debris could cause a danger. My little "guest house" is occupied this weekend. A couple from St. Louis. They love to dive the pristine water at Bull Shoals. Maybe not this year. It will be interesting to hear their report tomorrow. It's a little humid today, but it has all the earmarks of a beautiful day. I've made all my coffee deliveries, so now, I think I'll brew a fresh pot, take a cup and go sit up on the patio. The "Hummers" really put on a show up there, at the feeder. My hubby is resting well, and looks forward everyday to sitting up there, also. Happy Memorial Day!!!!
It has been a harrowing 15 days. I haven't had time to be on the web, or for that matter, in my garden. My husband is home recouperating from heart surgery. It has been two weeks of tests and trips to the hospital. But, thank God, it's all past. Maybe now, we can get back to normal. He still has a ways to go, but, at least he's home. I needed to get back to things that bring me joy. Took a "field trip" the other day, to a friend's garden. Her seasonal creek was running, due to all the rain. What a treat. She eeked this garden out of rocks and woods. It's just beautiful. It inspired me to produce a couple of poems. I needed that creative place.
It's been really windy today. Went out and watered and came back in, beat up. That wind can be brutal. Seedlings are starting to sprout. The banana trees look good. Who could ask for anything more? The pond is filling. It has a few more feet to go.
The Orchard Orioles are begging for food. Orange slices suffice. I did get a feeder, but they haven't seemed to be interested in it. These things take time.
