Wow, this is the first morning we have been above zero in weeks. Don't get your hopes up, this isn't spring, just a false lull. Maybe we'll get close to melting some ice during the day, that would be really nice. Like Deesi, I just keep busy with my winter projects. Last winter I painted several rooms. This winter I finished the one that I didn't get to last winter. My current project is regrouting the tile in that room. It's a tedious job removing the grout, but the finished product is allways worth the work. The regrouting will be a pleasant task. Besides there is only so much snow a person can look at. There are still a 3 new books in my pile of reading material for the winter as well. So as I putter on my winter chores, it's nice to read about signs of spring moving north. Slowly the winter will disapear and the garden bulbs will show their cheerful heads.
Cold ? It's downright nasty out there this a.m. Minus -35 at this time. There are towns further north, so we know it's colder somewhere else this a.m. I for one, would like to be in Calif. near my brother, or in LA checking on CC's beautiful cabbage plant today. But instead, you will find me deep in the plant catalogs burying my eyes at the fruits of the future.
