All of my poison ivy has stopped, except some of the hive bumps. No more itching, yea! The sun is supposed to come out today, and get to nearly 70, yipeeeeeeeeee. I'm a gonna go outside and tackle that ivy infested iris bed again. Yes, I am crazy. But the work needs doing. This time I'll be suited up proper, and try to finish before my husband gets home from work. He has pulled that "obey" clause in our vows, and forbidden me to go near that bed. HA ! I had my fingers crossed when I promised this morning. Just hope this doesn't qualify me as being a disobediant wife, lol .Oh, well, only God can judge me. I may get that tattooed on my right arm. Wouldn't that be a sight!!!!

It's chilly here in centeral Va. this morning, but the wind finally died down. My yard is a shambles of twigs, wind blown stuff all over the pastures and I'm still sitting here in my bathrobe and fuzzy slippers! My grandsons will want to color easter eggs this afternoon and I gotta make a cake for later. Oh, yikes, here comes my daughter and son in law! Gotta go before they catch me in my P. J,s

Alright today is the day. I'm going to rummage out all the sheds and find my lost flower pots .My house plants need dividing and I got to get a handle on my stuff! Even my favorite leather gloves have gotten misplaced. Yikes, Granny is slipping a little.Too much watching tv and not enough moving around this winter. I'm as plump as a overfed hen and this sweet tooth has got to go! So, dear friends I may have to go away a few days and get myself atuned to the nature of gardening. But first let me finish my sticky bun and coffee, lol.

juat polished off a big ole bowl of corned beef and cabbage and a peice o cornbread. My signifigant husband is the best cook I've ever seen. His ma was pretty good, but hes surpassed his teacher.Well,I ain't smiling because I'm broke out from head to toe with the poison oak[ivy] whatever...It's ridiculous, a grown woman grittting her teeth trying not to scratch.Whine, whine, whine... I hope to be myself in a few days,OK,bye,

yesterday I was divideing my iris bed and as it was overgrown with poison ivy, I was worried about getting that poison in my eyes.Well, you guessed it, I am breaking out in blisters all over. When I was a child nothing would make me get that crap on me, now all I have to do is be anywhere near and I'm toast! I don't care it's spring and things need to be done. Richard is fit to be tied."you're a hard headed woman,he announces ,don't ya ever learn!" "Oh, hush up, you,I retort and get me that lotion the doc gave me last year!"

Man is it hot in this old farmhouse! It's gotta be about 110.My guess is that the wind shifted to the south west over night. My husband Richard keeps the woodstove crankin, cause he loves the heat and plus,we have a little grandbaby living here and he don't want her to get cold. But man this is ridiculous! I could spread potting soil all over thef loors and let my seeds sprout.I can read the headlines now,"Granny loses Mind " Oh, well.I rekcon I'll go outside and drink my coffee.Have a good day. Be cool,
Mar 5, 2008 | 6:16 AM PST Have mercy, did it pour down raining last night! I haven't seen it rain like that in quite a while.I was driving home with my youngest girl, Bambi Lee, and the heavens opened up! We were coming home from town and thank God there was little traffic on the country roads we travled.10 miles an hour.It was pitch black and the wind was wild. I love a good thunderstorm, but would rather not be out on the roads. Oh, well. Arrived safely home and Richard had the porch light on, a beacon of welcome.

Oh, Lord, My husband Richard is on one of his stocking up kicks.Every once in a while he goes to the grocery store and comes home with an absolutly boat load of things! God knows I love to eat, but this man is nuts.He buys cases of things. It's a very lucky thing that my girl Callie and her family live just across the road,With two growing boys and a big ole husband, she gets quite a care package at times.I gotta go and see what kindda room I can make in the already stuffed freezer,Shessh!!!! Where was all this bounty when all four of the kids were still home?lol...
