It is just another one of those nights when I get depressed and just toss and turn but getting no sleep at all. I thought of my sister, Anna, and I cried and cried so I went back to the living room and watch TV. I surely miss our night chats on webcam with her african violets showing and hanging on top of her head and around her computer. Would you believe that one of her favorite quote is " I may go before these two", those two being her 60 year old husband who never sees a doctor and smokes 3 to 4 packs a day non-stop and her mother-in-law who is 85 years old. Sure enough, she did go to the Lord before them two. I am not suspicious but I now pay attention to what I think and say except that I cannot get rid of my loneliness when I think of her. I cannot still believe my sister is gone almost a month now. All I can do besides cry for her is pray.
I was looking at our family pictures and came upon this picture. It is from a mural in my living room and it shows a silhouette of a woman towards the right in a long white robe and ghostly like with dark black eyes. I call her St. Theresa, my patron saint and my alma mater, because there looks like a cross she is holding on her chest, just as her pictures show in our school. Well, I just wonder whether I am the only one who can see it. My husband can't.
