Too bad we didn't have time to carve this year! So I'll just have to show off some from years past.
These were carved last year with our neighbors, the far left is my wife's and mine is next to hers (jack skellington)
This was my favorite of all time, 2 or 3 years ago, it was definitely worth the amount of time I put into it! (quality is bad, sorry... I swear it was amazing in person!)... it was so good the pumpkin smashers left this one alone!
I hope everyone had a fun weekend and also enjoying baked pumpkin seeds!
Well, I'm glad this first week has gone by so fast! I'm getting accustomed to the lack of sleep, and am adjusting well to starting my workday at 2 am... surprisingly well!
Aside from baby stuff... I also have some news about plants!!! The Jerusalem artichokes never bloomed, but the cooler weather should cause them to die back soon... then I'll get to taste them for the first time.
I separated the dwarf iris we've had for just over a year, hopefully I did it right (each bulb has a few daughters on them already, maybe nickel size or smaller)... anyway we were given 3, and now have 12 parent bulbs! We kept 4, and split the rest between our parents. If they don't bloom this year, we may just keep one in a deeper pot the following year to see if that will do the trick.
There are still green tomatoes on the plants! I think I'll try frying a few up before the frosts damage them... if I get time.
Here's a pic of Sean when he was wide awake yesterday. Yup, he likes frogs... just like his daddy!
This morning he was awake after eating (it was fun, he usually always falls asleep) so I read a little story book to him... he was looking at the pictures. I read to him every night in the womb so its good to know he still enjoys story time!
I don't have too much time to post... so I'll make this quick! Sean Aiden Campbell 10/17/11 9 lb 1.5 oz 21.5 in. Needless to say... a BIG boy. Oh yes, he also has blonde hair, which I guess is not very common for newborns, the nurses were very excited to see it.
Here's the happy, yet sleepy family...
So the due date (12th) has come and passed :( Although surprisingly, time is going by very fast, not like the last month which seemed like an eternity! On Sunday I cured my boredom by re-scaping my 5 gal aquarium and moving it into the baby's room. We also went out to get a betta.
Here's the betta we got, a super delta tail, pretty good quality among the Petco mutts! Sorry again for the picture size... my comp just won't resize them anymore!
