Good Grief! 31 days since I last blogged. Summer has flown by. In the garden, zinnias abound. Sunflowers came and now they have their head hung, but I am leaving them up. The birds sit on them and eat. Peppers and tomatoes did great and are still giving. My salvias have bloomed without stop since early spring and are so big and nice. Vincas have been wonderful and I am hoping they reseed. It is almost time to start gathering seeds for the SEED BOX!!
We had to take a break in the heat and do inside work. We ripped out carpet, painted a bedroom and now have about 1/2 of the kitchen repainted. Still have all the cabinets to go.
My sister has been in the hospital for about a month now. She is doing rehab and therapy and trying to get strong enough to come home. It is a slow process. This started from a blood stream infection. Folks, infections are nothing to play around with.
This weekend we have 2 showers for my daughter and her soon to be husband. They will wed in September. This is such an exciting time for them and I am so happy and proud. They are both in their early 20s but both of them are so level headed and mature. I may cry at the showers, but it will tears of joy and love. I never had a boy child and didnt know the wonders of having a son, but let me tell you, I am loving it!!! That boy is so good to his mother in law (well, almost MIL). And he is good to Abby, which is what really matters.
