New bed and a cool web site

I have really fallen down on the job. I haven't been blogging or gardening as much as usual. I am about to go out to my newest flower bed and get to work though. I have planted some knockout roses, agapanthus, verbena and the name of the other plant escapes me. It is a large bed, so there is room for a lot more. What I'm trying to do now is get some pinestraw in to polish it off a little. I have piles of pinestraw /grass clippings in the yard, so I'm putting in a layer of that first and then just pinestraw on top. This slightly cooler weather invigorates me!

I found an interesting site online..Livesearch.com. It has satellite pictures of the earth. I typed in my address, clicked on bird's eye view and WALLAH! My house. Really amazing but a little scary that others can see all that. Anyway, what was kind of cool to me was seeing my house when it was apparently first landscaped. The picture must have been several years old. Neat to see how much it all has grown!

I'm on a weeks vacation this week, so I hope to get caught up on some stuff. Better get going. I'll try to do better about checking in...I do miss ya'll. Ya'll have a great day...and get in that dirt!!! Trish
