Getting ready for many things...jewelry party/clothes swap, gardening, 4-H meeting, Heritage Trails field trip, etc.
This Saturday is my 2nd jewelry party. Different twist is that it will also be a clothes/swap. Bring your old clothes, pick out "new" ones for yourself and order some jewelry to match. Or just order jewelry. Any of the old clothes not taken home will be donated to a battered woman's shelter in our area. I've heard positive feedback about this. I hope there's a nice turnout and some jewelry will be ordered. Mom is planning on having another party sometime, depending upon the turnout on this one. Then she'll get to invite whomever she wants.
Gardening: I've planted some bush cherries, bee balm, spinach (which is coming up nicely), and moved some mock orange "freebies". Actually, these are volunteers. I love this bush/tree that I would love to have more in the other parts of the yard. Nice that it grows so well and so fast, too. I also planted one, though I will be planting more, peach seeds. Hubby is planning on building two more raised bed boxes for me as a Mother's day present from the kids. Still have 50 strawberry plants who would love to start growing in one of those boxes.
Tomorrow evening is #1 son's 4-H show and tell meeting. We've got to come up with something for that.
Heritage Trails' field trip is coming up in May. We are going to visit the only cave in Shelby County, IN. It's called Flat Rock Cave and I'm very excited to see it. I've been trying to come up with something else we can go see/visit that would be around down that way.
