Now I am getting nervous! We are over 1/2 to our goal of 200 items for the auction, but still have a ways to go. Food and entertainment are in order. The last mintue things always drive me nuts so I am trying to prepare myself for that. I am excited about a new thing for the auction.. a pilot has offered an hour tour of the area for half his cost of fuel.. so for $45 we can offer that at the auction. Something i think I will bid on.:)
Linda and her Sister are doing fairly well and that is a blessing! I am going out this weekend to some festivals.. i will be looking for things for the auction as I go. You never know what will pop up!
I finally got the north bed fixed with some help. One of my friends is not allergic to poison ivy and I got where I just could not work in that bed because I kept braking out! Oh how I hate having poison ivy itching! The bed has hydrangea, lilac, coral bells, lirope, bulbs, coreopsis, heliotrope, Christmas fern,it is nice to see it again after the weeds got so high. I hope she got out all the poison ivy, if not we will just have to get some spray for it and try to keep it at bay. It looks terrible out there when I can't work in that bed. It is all mulched now and looking much better.

Poison Ivy has kept me from working on the north side of my house and oh my.. had the weeds gotten out of hand! I could not even see my daylilies in that bed. So one of my friends, who has a nursery came over while I was gone shopping and pulled out the poison (she is not allergic and I sometimes end up at the hospital)
She took out all the weeds and mulched it really well and now it actually looks like a flower bed! I am still fighting some poison on my back, which drives me nuts!! I have been putting IvyDry on it, that is what the pharmacy told me, but I really cant say it has helped all that much. Will be calling my doctor today.. hope I can get this under control soon!!
And thank you Kathy at Outback Gardens for helping me out!

I have been working off and on all day in one of my flower beds.. with a broken wrist, hot and dry summer, I had let some things just get ahead of me. I am hiring a cleanup crew for my north side of the house.. at some time or other, a little birdy left a present for me in the form of Poison Ivy.. which I am HIGHLY allergic to..
One of my friends who has a landscaping business hired some people who are not allergic and they will be here in the morning to take it out. They think they will be done in about 2 hours, so I think tomorrow afternoon or Saturday I will rent a power washer and clean my deck, house and outdoor furniture and then get busy next week staining and resealing my deck and repainting my metal furnature. Going to be busy the next few weeks and I really need to keep busy right now to keep my mind off everything going on.
My brother in law is in serious/critical condition so we are not getting too far from home right now. He had a heart attack last week and the doctors say he has damage to about 80-85 percent of his heart! They cannot do open heart surgery on him right now.. maybe in the future, but it would be very risky so we are just praying for him to heal and be able to function. He had been having problems for awhile, but did not beleive in doctors, but he sure wishes he had had a checkup. Please keep him in prayer, his name is Andy.
