Morris, Kiki, and Tigger are surveying the sunny first day of spring. Do they see some critters roaming the gardens or just remembering the days when they roamed the gardens. They don't go out any more. It's safer and healthier for them.
Any way, we at the Mitchell household wish everyone a very happy spring time.
This year I bought a few bargain basement, last sale of the season amaryllis bulbs at a ridiculously low priced and free shipping. Everything outside is starting to show that spring is fully entrenched. But today there is a show going on that started in the middle of November. Wow. There is also something happening that I've never seen before. Blossoms at the top of a stalk and blossoms at the bottom where a stalk would normally be.
Here is a close up from the top.
To a close up on the bottom.
I am totally in awe of God's creations. I can't wait to see the gardens in Heaven. At least until I see some more here.
Fourteen days ago, I brought this pot of tulips inside to force the blooming. Here is a couple of pictures of the first blossom. There are more coming shortly.
