I planted seven amaryllis bulbs on November 1st, 2009. The first one bloomed on November 9th, 2009. Today is January 27th and I still have a couple stalks with blooms that will last for several more days. That adds up to eighty three days of constantly beautiful blooming amaryllis. It is the most satisfying winter display I've ever had. I will continue to follow this plan until I pass away. Here is my last picture of these until next year, God willing.

We are all proud of our country's ability to help others in any disaster. So if you are capable of doing so, please give something to help the people of Haiti. Send to the Red Cross or any bank or church that is collecting. Please help these poor and injured people. Thank you, Bill Mitchell
We have been enjoying the amaryllis blooming that started on Nov 9th 2009 and we are enjoying them as they continue. Some have gone and some more are beginning. This one started yesterday. I took the first picture in the morning with the snow in the window as a back drop.

I just talked to Mitzi and she misses all of us here at Garden Guides. Her computer has been in the hospital over the holidays and she will be back with us in a couple of days. I told her everyone here misses her also. Bill Mitchell
