A beautiful Palm Sunday today! I am so looking forward to a nice day with warm 50 degrees! This week is supposed to really be a nice warm one.....first for a whole week.. So spring is here.......even if there are a couple of snow bits where the snow was piled up.....it probably will be gone after today........and good riddance. I do enjoy the beauty of winter.....but now winter is over and SPRING has SPRUNG! I am looking forward to cleaning up the garden and flower beds this week. I also am going to be starting my tomato and pepper seeds and probably a few flowers too.....just to get into the spring mode. I have had the stuff laying here for a couple of weeks now and now it is time to get those little seeds in the soil ....so they can bring us some tomatoes and peppers and lovely beauty. I don't have grow lights and all that.......just put near my patio door which faces east and so it gets nice warm morning sun .. I hope it works again this year. I always keep my fingers crossed and watch for that first green and clap when I see it.....:) I hope you all are enjoying Spring and seeing the renewal of all the green that the Creator God promises us each and every spring. The SUN was shining....

Tag: robin....family..snow melting

The sun was shining all afternoon today..........first in weeks! :) :) It was such a warm feel. Our snow is going fast now...only what is on piles from clearing off driveways and such.. A thin line of snow on the patio yet! I bet by tomorrow it will be gone. It is indeed spring.......saw my first robin today! Also now that the snow is off the garden I see that my tulips are two inches high! :) After Coffeebreak this morning....had a nice lunch with my friend.......how fun to share once again.. she lives in another nearby town.......so it was good to connect again. Tonight hubby is taking one of our grandson's for ice cream and visit. I will ride along to my parents and spend a short time with them........as I will be gone to my daughter in Ne. this weekend.........Nice to touch base with dad and mom after our family time of last weekend.. Perhaps they have come down to earth by now....HEHEEEeeee HAPPY ST. Patricks Day to all! Birdie in Iowa

Just a quick update

Just a quick update on the family flying back. My nephew and his family and my sis in law arrived in Arizona in fine fashion. Twins were so amused with a couple of wooden toys that hubby made for them.....so their plane ride was great. My brother however didn't get his connection in Chicago. His Omaha flight didn't quite make it in time.......so he sat for 24 hours in Chicago. I hope his 4 o'clock flight was a goodie and that he is now back in Cleveland. He was not a happy camper missing out on his work today.........but what do you do? I bet he spent alot of time reading the news! LOL All is well on the homefront here.........snow is disappearing and the rivers are either over their banks or bank full........Lots of water to come down from the north too.......hope all pans out good! Gray Sunday

It's a gray Sunday.....but not gray in the heart....We had the best Youth Day Sunday this morning in our church. It was so warming to hear the youth tell of their Love for the Lord. They blessed my heart beyond measure and a tear fell every now and then. Even more heartening was the fact that two of our grandchildren participated in the service in singing and taking offering and speaking.....plus being in the various skits. It was wonderful! Indeed we are so blessed. Also am coming off a great weekend with our family. Brother and his wife, his son and wife and their 1 yr. old twin sons visited and surprised my parents in their coming! It was so good to all be together. It had been 10 years since we all had been together.........much too long.......of course we had seen one another in between.....but never all together.....so we enjoyed eating two suppers and a breakfast together. SO WONDERFUL! I did post a picture of my family in family photos on my profile if you are interested. This afternoon we grilled some burgers and now are just resting or sleeping. I will finish my book too this afternoon. Snow is melting and I am getting anxious to start my tomato and pepper seeds soon. I can't do them too early........or they become tall and lanky.....so I must have some more patience. Just as we are to see the snow disappearing. I can now see more brown boards on my patio than snow........first time in 3 1/2 months.. Spring will be here SOON.. Hubby heard two robins this morning! YEAH come SPRING! It's high time!

It's high time to write here....funny how I seem to have to be in a writing mood....I read your blogs and sometimes either don't have the time or the want to write myself. Or I feel there is nothing exciting to share.....Snow is melting and it encourages me.....spring is coming....although we already know that as seasons follow seasons by God's command! I took a couple pictures of our melting snow and put on my snow pics in my photo album. It is encouraging to see that soon the snow will be gone and planting will begin. Although not too close in the near future....but we dream. Going to Coffee Break Study this morning.....yes we drink coffee and then we sing and study a portion of scripture. We are studying Judges now.. I get to have lunch with my daughter today! Not sure where she will choose.......Enjoying time with family is a highlight of the day! Enjoy the day all...
