Hello all.......it is partly cloudy and nice after our half inch of rain this morning in two little showers! :) Last evening knowing I would be gone over night tonight.....I thought I really should get those zinnia rows thinned out and transplanted....So I began.....after I finished I had a total of 77 zinnia plants....some Bernary Mix and some Pepermint Sick in front of them.....with the great little rain shower on them early this morning.....hopefully they can settle right in and grow nicely for our hummers and butterflies delight.......plus mine and any others to like to look at a nice zinnia flower....Not alot more going on here....going to leave soon ,nd so just wanted to wish you all Happy Gardening and enjoy the RIDE! Birdie in Iowa :) :)

Marigolds and nicotiana
What a wonderful day today..........sunshine.no wind.......perfect weather to enjoy the outdoors........which I did alot of today! Washed the bedding now that my niece has left for her camp.....hung it out and it dried beautifully. Planted the flowers that I bought last Sat finally! This weeks weather was either rainy or cold or too wet to do any planting and today the ground was still quite wet.......but I had the planting URGE and just dug in the wet dirt and planted them all. I also got a perenniel poppy for $1.99..........couldn't resist that one! Also bought 8 more marigolds to plant around my tulip area.....they are nearly dead........so I been digging them in here and there! Went for a bike ride this evening with hubby.. He grilled burgers and hot dogs tonight.......YUMMY.......we ate out on the patio.......so it has been a wonderful day! Hope your day was a good one too........and thanks agaian everyone for your comments.......hadn't been here since last week.....:( Enjoy Sunday! "Birdie" <
Hello everyone! Thanks to all who commented........I think it is neat how so manyof you are from all over.....and we all enjoy gardening.......either veggies..flowers.. or whatever is our love.....I happen to love the flower in bloom! It is always so hard to say what my favorite flower is.......as I really love them all........all the diversity.......it is great to know that God has created them each and everyone and how they each have their own beauty.. Today it rained! :) We needed it so badly....we had a half inch.....still very cloudy, and could rain more tomorrow! :) We were happy to go and meet our niece today in Sioux Falls....she will be staying with us for a few days...It should be fun........She is 16. We stopped at a nursery on our way home ,and I picked up a purple trailing lantana....3 different colored nicotiana and a coleus! So now I can plant again! HEHEEEEEEEE I hate to see an end to planting :( It is such fun!! Time to call it a night! Happy digging in the dirt fellow gardeners! God bless you all.......Birdie
